00:00Dan, looking at Bristol City, now obviously we've mentioned a number of times they have
00:05sort of struggled with consistency and this actually dates back a long time, you know,
00:11since their Ligue 1 promotion where they won the division. They've come up to the Championship
00:15and they've had some fantastic talent, highest their finish is eighth in the league. So they
00:21are just needing to bridge that gap and ensure that they are keeping some top players and
00:28enabling them to progress in the Championship. But they have been, you know, a bit mediocre
00:32at times. Looking across 2024, I mean, it's been a strange year for them again. It's been
00:37a bit more of the same where they've had some fantastic results, they've had some poor results
00:42as well, whether it be at home and you expect them to get a win and then they'll just go
00:46away somewhere or they'll play a fantastic opposition and just suddenly turn around and
00:52return three points. How do you sort of look at some of the standout games in 2024 for
00:58Bristol City? Obviously, the inconsistency will certainly play a part, but is there any
01:03standout results where, you know, you maybe look to them and thought this could be a team
01:08that are competing near the top of the division and what they sort of need to do to ensure
01:12that?
01:13Certainly, yeah, there are some brilliant results which we're going to go through, but
01:16I think it's fair to say that 2024 on the whole has been an up and down year. Some great
01:22moments, some not so great moments, and it's sort of epitomises what Bristol City are like
01:26at the moment as a club in terms of they're decent enough as a championship side, but
01:30they're not quite perhaps getting towards the upper echelon. So they do have aspirations
01:35of that this season so far. But if we go back to last season in April, a 5-0 home win against
01:42Blackburn Rovers, that was a huge and just fantastic win for them. Tommy Conway scoring
01:48two goals, one of which was a penalty, Enes Mometi getting one in the second half, and
01:52then Naki Wells also scoring two, and one of which was a penalty as well. A great win
01:57for them that day on Ashton Gate. And then that was sort of it in terms of the last part
02:01of last season. But then if you come to August at the start of this season, a 4-3 win against
02:07Millwall, what a game that was, because by half-time it seemed quite comfortable. Bristol
02:12City 2-0 up against Millwall, you know, Enes Mometi and Sinclair Armstrong, they'd scored
02:21two goals, you think, seems okay, 2-0, half-time, great. And then Millwall come out and score
02:26three in the space of 20 minutes in the second half, and suddenly they're 3-2 up with about
02:3025 minutes to play. And then Bristol City again go and score another two in the final
02:3715 minutes as well. Scott Twain eventually getting the winner on 88. What a moment. And
02:43then you've got a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough in October. Middlesbrough, of course, having
02:47a great season, it's fair to say to them themselves. And then in November, they managed to beat
02:52Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle by four goals to nil to cap off what has been, as I say,
02:58an okay year so far.
