Pangamba tuwing holiday season, ang bumababang suplay ng dugo sa mga blood bank kung kailan naman ito mas kailangan, ayon sa Philippine Red Cross. Kaya bilang suporta, nagsagawa ang GMA Kapuso Foundation ng Sagip Dugtong Buhay Bloodletting Project sa Maguindanao, Baguio at Tarlac.

00:00It's a holiday season, and the supply of blood to blood banks is declining.

00:09When will this be needed according to the Philippine Red Cross?

00:13As a support, the GMA Kapusu Foundation has created the Sagip Dugtong Buhay Bloodletting Project

00:20in Maguindanao, Baguio and Satarlac.

00:23In the midst of an all-out war between the soldiers and the MILF in Maguindanao in 2000,

00:35a heartache was felt.

00:38That was the unwavering donation of the former 1st Marine Brigade General Chodosho

00:44of his blood to a wounded MILF.

00:48I was a young captain then. There was one wounded MILF fighter, and he had two gunshot wounds.

00:55And our brigade commander did not hesitate to donate blood.

00:59A heartache for a fellow soldier, even if he has a different belief.

01:04Inspired by the 1st Marine Brigade and GMA Kapusu Foundation,

01:09we conducted a bloodletting activity in Camp Iranun in Maguindanao.

01:15It was heartwarming, and everyone was united.

01:20We saw their volunteerism and their commitment and passion.

01:25We also conducted a bloodletting activity in the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City.

01:32Every year, as part of our foundation anniversary, we give blood.

01:36Whatever we do, we can always save lives with the simple act of donating blood.

01:41As well as the training command in Kapas, Satarlac.

01:45In this way, we can show our concern for our fellow countrymen.

01:49Because of your generosity, we were able to donate 5,952 blood bags

01:57to the bloodletting activities we conducted this year.
