00:00Overshadow, you know, this is, in comedy, I really feel, I have never seen, I feel this
00:13line is wrong, that someone overshadows someone else.
00:16The one who has a lot in his plate, if he eats it, he will have a lot of fun.
00:20So I never, not just with this project, in any project, I deny this question that someone
00:25overshadows someone else.
00:26Until, unless, this is, you know, life, when action is there, this is life.
00:32And in that thing, if it is not required and you try to do that thing, it is clearly there
00:37that you are a very clever actor, people will catch you.
00:39So there is no that particular point, somebody has overshadowed somebody in some certain
00:45point.
00:46Everybody was doing their part, you know, so precisely, so perfectly, then only the
00:50scenes are coming that way.
00:53Until unless you are not doing it, any actor is trying to do it a little harder or try
00:56to do smart things to overshadow anybody, you will kill the scene, you will kill the
01:01mood of that thing.
01:02So I do not agree with this thing at all.
01:05Can I just add to that, I just, I think that, so there is, there is a lot of, it is a, as
01:12you rightly said, it is a comedy, right?
01:14And there are different chapters to the story.
01:16Yes, there is an element of sci-fi, there is an element of lot of heist, con artists
01:22coming together, there is an element of romance in it, there is an element of thievery in
01:27it, of cheating each other in it, there is an element of like, you know, your childhood
01:32coming and facing you in the face.
01:33So I think that what Ajay Bhuhan has done is that he has done a wonderful marriage of
01:37all these things and put them together in a very compact way that you do not, when you
01:42look at the show, you are going to say, there is something for everybody in it.
01:45Like it is not just one particular genre that you are basically ending up following.
01:49It is a very interesting take on all different genres that are put together and streamlined
01:54in these, you know, these episodes, which you will see different kind of shades to as
01:58the show goes along.
01:59So nothing has been overshadowed.
02:00I think it is all right in place and hopefully the audience sees it like that.
02:09Off screen.
02:10Yes, it happens.
02:11I ask Sameer bhai everyday.
02:12He wanted to hit me every morning.
02:13I will ask him, tell him, I am bigger than him.
02:15Try it.
02:16Every morning I used to call him and put up a 100 metre race and I used to lose everyday.
02:21Correct.
02:22There is nothing like that.
02:23Same, you are asking, you know, same way.
02:25Every actor who are there, it is not about only Sameer bhai or Nidhi is there.
02:30There is Prateek there, there is, you know, who played, you know, who was alongside me
02:35in my gang, he was Prateek there.
02:37Kamal.
02:38Who played Kamal.
02:39And there was Sachin is there who played Shalu.
02:42So, you know, with them also, it is like the first day when I came on set and as I already
02:48told you that I was not the prima choice for this thing.
02:51So I landed there and there was so many hesitation, so many confusion inside me.
02:55And those guys were there to help me out to, you know, understand this thing completely
03:00and they give me the ease of the character.
03:03They give me their reaction, their understanding about the scene.
03:06Because, you know, you are reading it first time or second time and you are directly on
03:10set, it is difficult to perform that thing if it is comedy.
03:13And somehow, those actors were, you know, has allowed me to, you know, perform freely
03:19because they were supporting me in that.
03:21So there was no competitive competitiveness.
03:23There was that thing that how to bring that scene completely that people will laugh or
03:27people will understand the humor inside of it.
03:30And somehow, you know, this is presence of mind and everything.
03:33Somehow the, you know, relation between all actors and this is unique.
03:37I can say that thing.
03:38Among all the works I have done, Moonwalk was the only project where I enjoyed every
03:43day, every bit on set.
03:44Even I didn't enjoy leaving the set because every moment, you know, you are learning,
03:48you are enjoying and in, you know, there was no specific thing that you have to perform
03:52in between lines.
03:53You can go out of line and director will tell you, my God, it is going differently.
03:57It is going more crazier.
03:59So we enjoyed that competitiveness is there to enhance.
04:03If you want to put in that way, competitiveness is there to enhance the scene only.
04:09Otherwise, there is no competitiveness in or outside.
04:12Yeah.
04:13No, I think what, I think to culminate both the things, it is like, it is a bit like a
04:19dance-off, you know.
04:21So if you are not doing your bit well, I can't, no matter how well I do it, the scene is not
04:25going to look good.
04:26So everybody is going to do their thing well.
04:29And, I mean, the fact that Sam played the guy that he did with his issues, you know,
04:37Maddy's issues and everything and Tariq, he is a bit, he has got a shayarana way of
04:42talking, but at the same time, he is a thief, but he enjoys it, you know.
04:46They both really had fun playing these characters.
04:49And when your co-actor is having so much fun, you can't help but have fun.
04:53Even senior actors like, by the way, senior actors like Geetanjali ma'am is there who
04:58is playing my mother and Sheeba ma'am is there who is playing Maddy's mother.
05:03So everything, when they come to the show…
05:06And Anil, the guy who discovers the moon rock.
05:08Anil, Anil is there.
05:10So all the assembled cast is, you know, so much into the game, so much into the game
05:15that every time we are doing the scene, it is like we are doing it really, it is happening
05:19really.
05:21So every little bit of that has, you know, even Neha, Neha is playing a very pivotal
05:26role in this one.
05:27So with them, every time we are making the scene, already it is written there, but with
05:31the help of director, we are enhancing the scenes with our competitiveness, the word
05:34you are using.
05:35With that competitiveness is there, how good ideas you are bringing to enhance that.
05:40At that time, you are feeling, you are a little insecure.
05:42Ma ki aankh isne bahut achcha kuchh bata diya jo main nahi bata paya.
05:46So that was there.
05:51No, no, I think we improvised a lot, yeah.
05:54I think we had a lot of fun and that was in fact by, I think given to us as an opportunity
06:00by director.
06:01And he completely led this.
06:02He said that we are going to have fun doing it.
06:04Jo scene aata tha wahan par uspe yeh dikha hai ki, you know, this is what one person,
06:08one character will say, this is what the other person will say.
06:11And I don't know why, because after the first couple of days of shooting, we saw the
06:15director and I think collectively all of us said ki nahi yaar, when we get a scene na,
06:18humara yeh ispe, is set pe toh adhikaar hai ki hum director ke paas jahaan, bole sir
06:23isko aise karte hain.
06:24Can we add this here?
06:25Can we do this here?
06:26Can I make, can I say this line?
06:27Can I do that?
06:28And if he liked it, he said try it man.
06:30If it works, we'll use it.
06:32If it doesn't work, we'll, we'll go back to the same way of it happening earlier.
06:36So, I think every act, like whenever you saw, like even when I wasn't shooting and I saw
06:40some of, you know, Tariq's scenes with his, with his group and they're all there.
06:46And I'm seeing them talk to each other.
06:48Toh matlab, half the things they were saying were just random things.
06:51They were just coming and, you know, saying something funny and, or something random which
06:55kind of looked good at the end.
06:57So yeah, it was, we were given the opportunity of having fun on the show and the script.
07:06There is no emotional depth in the triangle.
07:10It is very superficial.
07:12There would have been emotional depth if the person they were fighting for had any emotion.
07:15If they don't have emotion, what will we do?
07:17They are stone-hearted.
07:19No, no, there is emotional aspect also between son and mother.
07:24Between son and mother.
07:26Between, you know, the character Neha is playing.
07:30Robin Das, you know, the giant theatre actor, I can say, he is there.
07:36I got opportunity to work with him for a scene.
07:39So, there is, you know, emotional aspects also there.
07:43But those aspects are, you know, adding to the comedy.
07:47Adding to the comedy.
07:48And those aspects were taken care very carefully.
07:50If I have, you know, he is not here.
07:53Ajay sir has, you know, taken care of that thing that it should not go in that direction
07:57where we are making it too emotional or something.
07:59It has to go with the flow of the story.
08:01So, he did that thing.
08:03Yeah, but like, okay, I was kidding that there is no emotional depth.
08:07Of course there is, but there is a lot of confusion along with it.
08:10There is chaos, confusion.
08:11There is trust issues and all of that.
08:13So, I think being emotional is not just crying.
08:16Being emotional is unearthing your inner issues and like, you know,
08:22actually being very vulnerable in front of the person you are with.
08:26Whether it is Tariq or whether it is Maddy.
08:28So, and vice versa for you guys.
08:31You don't agree.
08:32No, no, I agree.
08:33No, no, just to sum up your thing is like, if you can just like,
08:37if I can explain in a way that if there is a line saying that,
08:40I am feeling very hurt today.
08:42And I am saying this in a very emotional way.
08:44Or I am crying because my life is not good.
08:46The way the scene is shot in the show, you might actually be laughing.
08:49Yeah.
08:50As an audience member.
08:51So, it's got a very interesting take on what's happening on the show.
08:54And though I might be genuinely crying or he might be genuinely crying.
08:57But the audience might be laughing because it's played out in such a way.
09:00So, the humor is very dark.
09:01It's interesting, the scenes.
09:03There is no linearity.
09:04You have held your ears like this or like this.
09:06So, we had the liberty of doing that.
09:13I'll tell you.
09:14I know the exact answer.
09:15Chandni does not love me or him.
09:17She loves herself.
09:18Yes.
09:19That is the correct answer.
09:20She is obsessed about herself.
09:21Yes.
09:22That is the correct answer.
09:23Best.
09:24Best answer.
09:25Best.
