00:00The Philippine National Police will support the implementation of the Republic Act No. 12022
00:05or Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act.
00:08This is one of the laws passed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. this September.
00:13This is a law that prohibits smuggling, hoarding, and embezzlement at the price of agricultural products,
00:20particularly rice.
00:21The PNP promised that it will pursue and resolve these issues
00:26in accordance with the President's mandate on food security.
00:29Like protecting every Filipino from the high price of agricultural products
00:36that are subject to life imprisonment or imprisonment
00:40up to three times the price of agricultural products,
00:44up to 30 years of imprisonment for transportation and illegal storage of said products,
00:52or up to two times the price.
