00:12A scheme to revive an overwire pub which has fallen into near-dereliction
00:16is back with wire planners a year after it was approved.
00:20The Golden Ball pub based in Redbrick, Victorian premises on School Lane and Pillink has been
00:25closed since March 2020 after the business' previous run-through Threats Brewery began
00:30to struggle and it has been well-known for its two boulder greens and beef carvery meals.
00:36An application was submitted in September 2022 for an extension and extra development
00:41of the site entailing a smaller pub and new apartments in the upper storey.
00:46We lost everything in a fire which destroyed our home and we are devastated but we feel
00:51lucky to survive. Our Blackpool family say they are devastated after losing everything
00:55after a huge blaze ripped through their home but they are just thankful that everyone survived.

01:06in just one day to assist the Alpsen family after the devastating fire on Henson Avenue,
01:10South Shore. The blaze started on the early afternoon yesterday, Tuesday December 17th
01:16with firefighters called out at 1.25pm. Hygiene horror as health inspectors find a takeaway
01:22infested with rats. A rat infested takeaway has been closed after being slapped with a
01:27zero hygiene rating by Preston health inspectors. The city's food safety officers visited Chico's
01:35Inn at Acre Gate Lane, Vibleton after a tip-off revealed the takeaway was riddled with rats.
01:42During their visit on October 8th, inspectors found rat droppings on floors, worktops,
01:46shelves and boxes containing packets of food. A 51-year-old man dies in an explosion at a farm
01:53near Longridge. A man has died following an explosion at a farm near Longridge.
02:00Emergency services were called to the scene on Monday morning at a farm in
02:04Hotherson Hall. Lancashire police said the man died at the scene and the
02:08explosion has not been treated as suspicious.
