00:00I think Tujhpe Main Fida wala jo mera character usme bahut saare layers hain. She is a daughter,
00:11she is a lover and she has to make a balance between her emotions for the person who she
00:18loves and her mother. There are other struggles that you know you will know when you watch
00:23the show. Her mom is insane, she has to hide that from the world to protect her and that's
00:29why she is also distancing herself from her lover. That's why I think there were a lot
00:33of layers and I enjoyed playing Aira and once we started shooting, I feel like I was Aira.
00:45I think when I was in Punjab, whatever I got came to me really easily. I won't lie about
00:51it and when I shifted to Bombay, that's where my real struggle began and I think I love
00:57it more because I get to audition every day, I get to test every day. So exam doge tabhi
01:03toh aap pass hoge, result aayega. Punjab mein I think that opportunity was less and
01:08Bombay aake the more I have auditioned, the more I have tested, the more rejections I
01:12have taken. I think as a human being, I have become more humble and grounded and I know
01:21if there is something today on my plate, tomorrow it might not be. So when I walk into my set,
01:28I walk with that mindset ke aaj ye hai, I have to give it my 100%, kalka mujhe pata nahi.
01:39I think every step that we take in our daily lives, even if it's like a small activity
01:43like going to the gym, it does add to your struggle, to your journey and Miss India was
01:49a big milestone. The exposure that I got in those 40 days, I got to live with 30 girls,
01:56different characters from different cultures. So you know in itself, you gain a lot of knowledge,
02:02meeting a lot of people, different opinions and the platform that Femina Miss India gives
02:07you, it's great. The exposure that they give is great.
02:11I think my favourite moment was the last day. We were shooting a scene where Aira breaks
02:18down, she's searching for her mom, her mom is missing and Aira ke dad nahi hai. So she
02:23breaks down, she feels like I failed as a daughter and she has that in her that I have
02:29to make things correct but she's also breaking. So there's an internal turmoil, there's
02:35But she's also breaking. So there's an internal turmoil, there's cures going on inside her.
02:41And before that scene, I asked Sir, Sir, I don't understand this graph, how to take it?
02:47Sir said, do it naturally. Whatever you feel like comes to you naturally. Then let's see
02:54what to add in it, what to subtract. And once the scene started, it was like a big one shot.
03:01I don't even know when I got into that moment. I've literally cried there and as soon as
03:06it got cut, everyone on set had tears in their eyes. So I think that moment was like, oh,
03:12this is the moment I was waiting for.
03:18I think anything that is challenging, I am up for it. I like cliché things but it comes
03:28easily. But when there's challenge in it, you know, when you have to put in those extra
03:32efforts, then the success feels even sweeter. So I want to do more of challenging characters.
03:44If season three happens, definitely I will be a part of it. But right now I'm tight lipped
03:49about whether it's going to happen or not.
03:52No, I think at this point, Punjab is doing really well in terms of music, in terms of
03:56the films, the directors. There are amazing stories in Punjab and I think this was the
04:01best time. You know, whenever I started, it was the best time to be in Punjab, in the
04:07Punjabi industry. I'm proud that Punjab is doing great.
04:10No, we have some really great examples where performances have been appreciated. And I
04:15think these days when we have OTT platforms, I feel that beauty is no more a factor if
04:22you want to become an actor. It's all your craft. It's all what you give to the character
04:27and the way you do justice to yourself. So I think it's going to be a great experience.
04:40As of now, I don't think so. Initially, I started off my journey with music albums and
04:53everyone thought I could do only sad songs or maybe romantic songs. And then I did a
04:58web show called Shahi Majra in Punjab. And for filmmakers in Punjab, that was a project
05:04where they knew, oh, this girl can perform. So in that project, I was an innocent, simple
05:10girl who came from the village. And towards the end of the series, you can see her changing
05:14into an eye candy girl in the club, selling drugs and all of that. So the journey that
05:19has been portrayed, it has different shades. A girl when she's in love, a girl when she's
05:25in her revenge mode. So that was one project where filmmakers got to know that, yeah, this
05:31girl can perform.
