00:00I think it was a very important thing because in season one what people mostly
00:10saw about Pooja was her how her mind is working how what she wants mostly that
00:16tough exterior because a lot of things were said just through the eyes and
00:21expressions and I feel that only when you come across challenges or obstacles
00:27in life your real personality comes out so I got that chance to do in season two
00:33and I think it was a very important thing for Pooja's journey because now
00:40there are more dimensions and more like it's more nuanced now yeah so I love
00:47playing it and rather I was very happy to have all that also because when I was
00:52doing season one I wanted to show some sort of vulnerability to this character
01:00but obviously Siddharth sir had planned this is how it is because it is after
01:05all Vikrant's narrative we don't get into Pooja's head and heart we get into
01:08his head and heart so so vulnerabilities in this way season two it came up it was
01:16beautiful because you more than the soft side you still saw the strong side of
01:22her so it was wonderful doing that
01:31that's a great question and it's actually one of my favorite lines in the
01:35show where he says, Insaan ko girte hue nahi dekha tha, Newton ne, it's such a well-written
01:39line it right from the beginning the moral compass is never something that I
01:45judged I see Vikrant as someone who's very vulnerable who's very very raw
01:51who's very emotional in season one when you meet him but then circumstances push
01:55him into a corner yeah and he did certain things out of desperation in
02:00season one and in season two is when you see the consequences and it's I always
02:06saw Vikrant as like a stray dog you remember we had this conversation and if
02:11you if you meet a stray dog in the street and he walks by and you ignore
02:16him he's fine but if you go towards him and push him he might be a little meek
02:21and little but if you start to threaten him you might see a more in your words
02:26like a more manipulative a more in survival mode and that's what's
02:30happening to Vikrant he doesn't he's a good guy in a really bad circumstance
02:34and what's enjoyable is that the show questions how far will you go to survive
02:39and what will you do for love and as Vikrant's character changes the
02:44definition of how much he will go and how far he will go for love changes for
02:48him and as a result in everyone's lives around him which is what makes it
02:54interesting to play but what's challenging as an act from an acting
02:57point of view is very often in the show he's thinking something he's saying
03:01something else and he's doing something else and so to play all of those three
03:04things together was very interesting
03:08Before coming to this character, our director Siddharth had done a lot of work on me
03:21because what happens is that he has a vision, he has made a world in Kali Kali
03:27Aagya, so it was very important for him that the new character that is coming in this
03:31world, how will it be, so his homework was a lot, we worked a lot behind it
03:36whether it's a workshop, whether it's body language, you know everything happens
03:40first, what are your looks, because when you come in front of the camera, I feel
03:45that you are visible first, so are you visible in the character, that was very
03:48important, before that I had long hair, it was very broad, I felt that I had to
03:54lean a little, I had to do a lot, so that was a lot of hard work and I didn't even
03:59come with a lot of planning, because I knew that this character had a lot of hard work
04:03Whether it was an action stunt, and when I reached the set after the workshop, I knew
04:10what I had to do, but it was also taking a little time, because I was new and all the
04:15old people who had worked, so there slowly, when the actors also supported, there are
04:21many places that you are working with them, so they also give a good vibe that yes,
04:27to feed off their energy, so I feel that what you do on the spot, because I feel that
04:32there are only a few tools, which you can do in real life too, so I don't do a lot of
04:40planning, sometimes on the spot I do a few things, so I do that.
04:49Things to figure out is our career, what are the projects to do, how to do it, because
04:55none of us are from the industry family, you looked at me with doubt when you said that
05:04so the thing is that you don't have people to guide you, to tell you what to do, which is
05:09alright, I am very happy being on this side and that's when you learn that if you keep that
05:16purity of intent in your heart, in your mind, then with the right kind of people, with the
05:22right platform, you will be telling the stories that you want to tell, so Shikha is very
05:28different and I never want to be in a situation like Shikha, because she really can't do much,
05:37or she is, whatever is happening in her life is a result of the people, the men and the
05:44lovely woman, so it's very, very different, one thing that I keep reminding myself is that
05:51I am trying to be more evolved as a person because the more you read, the more you see,
05:57the more conversations you have, the more you learn, but your characters are not like that there,
06:02so because I am very fond of Anchal, but is Shikha fond of Anchal, is Shikha fond of Purva,
06:14where you want to make sure that your personal opinion is not leaking to your
06:19opinion of your characters on screen.
06:26He writes so well that you don't have to jam too much, and we've worked together before,
06:37I'm very instinctive that way, I don't, and he knows me well enough to not,
06:43what he needs to say, when he has to say it, he does, but not much, we have a good
06:47working system, so not much, and I'm cold-blooded, it's not hard to play.
