The top American diplomat stationed in Taiwan, Raymond Greene, says he doesn't expect U.S.-Taiwan relations to see a policy shift once Donald Trump returns to office.

00:08U.S.-Taiwan policy and U.S.-China policy has been very consistent over the past 45 years.
00:14It has, I think, succeeded in maintaining peace and prosperity in the region.
00:20And I think it will continue to be the basic direction that U.S. policy will remain.
00:25I think our goal is to make sure nothing does happen.
00:29Chairman Greene made the comments at an industry and trade conference in Taipei.

00:39Donald Trump takes office next month.
00:42Greene also said cooperation in the semiconductor sector will continue and chip manufacturing
