Transcripción
00:00Amigos de Diario de las Américas, me encuentro con Adam Peer y Kelvin Harrison Jr., quienes
00:09están dando vida a Mufasa y Taka en Mufasa.
00:13My name is Mufasa. I'm Sir Robbie. My name is Taka. He's going to start a new kingdom.
00:19Adam and Kelvin, this is your first time doing voiceover acting for an animated film. What
00:26do you like the most of this experience?
00:30I think for me, what I love the most, so I started in theatre. Theatre is my roots,
00:37that is my home, and that's always, that's never something that I will stray from. And
00:44this felt very much like theatre. You know, there's nowhere to hide. And also, in addition
00:50to there being nowhere to hide, Kelvin made a good point, you get to revisit scenes again
00:55and again and again, because we did this over three years, right? So you get to revisit
01:00things and that's not something you always have the opportunity to do in the context
01:05of, you know, other mediums we love equally as much, film and TV. You know, it's very
01:10specific to, I think, animation and theatre, so that's one of the many things that I really
01:14loved about this process, yeah.
01:19And you?
01:20I think I just, I loved everything. It was just really cool. It was just fun to try new
01:31things and I felt like there was actually room for me to fail and it'd be okay, whereas
01:37like sometimes when I'm on set, I get really anxious and overwhelmed because it's like
01:40once a shot is shot. But then Zell said something recently, he was like, it's just film. And
01:45I was like, that's so cool. I was like, I wish I thought about it like that. I was like,
01:49maybe when I get to that point, but it was, I just, I was able to play. I was able to
01:54play with great actors.
01:55If you take my life, you will never find where you are going. Tucker, do not eat him. Wonderful,
02:01another we're not supposed to eat.
02:04What trait of Mufasa is in Aaron and what trait of Kelmy is in Tucker?
02:12I think a trait of Mufasa that is in Aaron is he is excessively hard on himself. And
02:21that's anyone who knows me knows there's no end to how hard I am on myself, but it is
02:27who I am and I'm working through it.
02:33I think a trait of Kelmy in Tucker is, I'm excited to know what you're going to say.
02:46I'm trying to say the healthy answer. I think that he's a bit of a troll, you know, like
02:58they call the internet trolls. He's always trying to mess with people.
03:10What's up y'all? I'm Kelvin and I'm Aaron Pierre and y'all need to come and watch the
03:14Lion King Mufasa, the Lion King, the legend, the icon on December 20th. And we can't wait
03:19to see you there.
