00:00And since it is a season to be merry, Davao City holds a Christmas parade featuring drum corps,
00:07marching bands, cosplayers, floats among others with millions worth of cash prizes

00:22Davao City's downtown streets became a scene of festive revelry as it held a Christmas themed
00:26parade. Parada sa Pasko is one of the major events under the month-long Christmas festivity
00:32Pasko Fiesta sa Davao. Parada sa Pasko features drum and lyre corps from different elementary
00:37schools in the city, full marching bands, Christmas-themed cosplayers, and Christmas
00:42floats marching along the downtown route. Banda Dasik is a drum and bugle competition,
00:47Bugna sa Pasko is a costume contest, while Lambdag sa Pasko is a competition among Christmas floats.
00:53The event is inspired by the popular street dancing and floral float parade of the Kadayawan
00:58Festival held every August. The groups this year are very diverse and we also support the elementary
01:08and the open category and we also added the Bugna sa Pasko Fiesta. According to City Councilor Al Ryan
01:15Alejandre, the drum and bugle competition aims to enliven the school's drum and bugle corps
01:20as the event provides a platform for them to perform for the Davawenos.
01:40A total of 3.3 million pesos in cash prizes were given to the winners of the different competitions
