00:00Love them or loathe them. We've been on the streets of Liverpool to find out what you think of Christmas Pantos.
00:08As you can hear probably, I'm an adopted Scouser. I've been living in the UK and in Liverpool in particular for almost 20 years but never ever been to Panto and it's been my Christmas dream.
00:20I've done my Pantos, I've done all that business. In fact my first one I think was Gerry Marsden. It was my first ever Panto when I was little in the Empire.
00:30Christmas Pantos, yeah I must admit it's a while since I've been to one. But I like the look of Aladdin at the Empire that's on. I'm not quite sure who's in it but I've just seen all the signs up.
00:42I don't go and watch stuff like that. I'm just not into stuff like that. I'm really not. I wouldn't go.
00:49I think they're good for children, you know what I mean. Lifting the spirit, getting away from the neighbourhood. If you come from a council estate, you know what I mean, where it's a bit tough.
00:57You know what, I'm not a Christmas person but having now a granddaughter, I've become one. Sorry sons, sons of old. Sorry my sons but no, my granddaughter's made me embrace Christmas.
01:12My husband is not actually a big fan of Pantos. But this year I think we're just literally obliged to go because it's absolutely, absolutely a must thing.
01:25The last time I went to a Panto was when I was a kid in Manchester when I went to watch Cutting Boots. So after that I have no interest in my type of thing.
01:38Get children in the Christmas spirit. Not just young children, big adults, grown adults, we're all big kids. Well some of us are, you know what I mean.
01:45I think it's quintessentially British. I think it travels well. I think people abroad understand what it's about but I think it's just fun and it's for all ages. Kids love it.
