00:00Malacanang has now approved various provisions in the 2025 General Appropriations Act
00:07to ensure its compliance with the Constitutional Law.
00:11According to Executive Secretary Lucas Brizamin,
00:14President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and his Cabinet approved the so-called national budget
00:22to ensure that it complies with the Constitution and the priorities of the government,
00:28especially that its legacy programs are funded properly.
00:32The Executive Secretary also gave the President's message
00:35on the need to be careful in spending and the proper programming of the country's limited fiscal resources.
00:43This agreement is in accordance with several calls
00:46to remove possible unconstitutional items from the proposed budget
00:51before the President passes it as a law.
00:55Despite the criticism, Malacanang remained positive
00:59that the 2025 budget will be implemented in accordance with the administration's goals
01:04and in accordance with the Constitutional Law.
01:06President Marcos approved the General Appropriations Act on Monday, December 30.
