00:00The Lions visiting the 49ers, we will of course have this game here on Pro Football today,
00:09the pregame show.
00:10Myself, Dave Sharapan, Adam Kaufman, we'll be back on Monday at 7 p.m. Eastern previewing
00:15this game.
00:16The Lions are three and a half point favorites, it is a 50 and a half over under, very healthy
00:21over under.
00:23The 49ers are officially eliminated from the playoffs, we know that.
00:27An injury-filled season got worse as the year went on, and they are done.
00:33I love the Lions in this matchup, I love them at minus three and a half, and as I mentioned
00:38earlier, I will be taking the Lions on the old spread at minus six and a half, and I
00:43may even jump it up to a smaller, you know, quarter unit play on the Lions minus nine
00:49and a half up at plus 235 that I'm seeing on the Faneuil Sportsbook right now.
00:54I think that the Lions want to come out and make a statement about this game after the
01:00results that we saw in the NFC Championship game last year.
01:04We saw this play out earlier in the season when the Lions went down to Dallas and absolutely
01:10smoked the Cowboys, running that score up, because if we remember back to last season,
01:16there was that controversy when they had the sixth offensive lineman report as eligible,
01:21he didn't report as eligible, the refs didn't see that he reported as eligible, whatever
01:24it was, and the Lions went down there and made a statement, and they ran up the score,
01:29and it was all Lions in that game, scoring 40-whatever points.
01:32I'm not going to say we're going to see the exact same thing play out, but I do think
01:36the Lions want to come in here and have this feel-good game against the team that prevented
01:41them from getting to the Super Bowl last year, so minus three and a half, yes.
01:46Lions' money line, it's sitting at minus, what is it, minus 185 here, minus 178.
01:52I'm not playing the money line, let's just call it what it is.
01:53If I think they're going to win by minus six and a half, I'm just not going to play the
01:56money line, we can look elsewhere for value.
01:58I think the Lions come out and make a statement.
02:00So minus three and a half, minus six and a half, and I'm going to put a small quarter
02:04unit on minus nine and a half as well.
02:08Them winning by 10 points, I don't think that would shock anyone, right?
02:12If they won this game 30-34 or 31-20, would that shock anyone?
02:18The Lions are a Super Bowl favorite coming into this, and the 49ers have been eliminated
02:22from the playoffs.
02:24Them winning this game 31-20, I don't think it would be a shock to anyone.
02:28So I want to try and capture that, again, building in some of this motivation that the
02:31Lions have coming off of the heels of last season where they were stopped at getting
02:35to the Super Bowl.
02:36So that's where I'll look.
02:37Touchdown score, odds that we're seeing right now are what you would assume with Gibbs all
02:41the way up there, minus 250, because Dave Montgomery is out, it's not done technically
02:45for the season, but he is out as of now, St. Brown sitting at minus 110.
02:51I don't mind going to a San LaPorta at plus 190.
02:54I'm not going to say I want to go as far as Tim Patrick at plus 300, but San LaPorta at
02:58plus 190 feels right.
03:00I certainly don't want to be going to St. Brown or Gibbs.
03:03Let's just check on receiving props over here, over on DK, see if they have anything listed
03:07different.
03:08They do have some receiving yards.
03:09St. Brown is up at 70, as you assume, Jameson Williams, 53 and a half.
03:13Give Gibbs though, the Gibbs 27 and a half over on receiving yards for Jameer Gibbs is
03:19looking interesting.
03:20It is still a little bit at minus 120, so that's my initial lean as of now.
03:24Probably not looking at too many touchdown score and props, and it's just because Gibbs
03:28getting there at minus 280 or minus whatever it is, is not something I have a whole lot
03:32of interest in.
03:33LaPorta would be that first play at plus 190 or so.
03:37Gibbs coming out of the backfield seeing, again, he's got to see a minimum of 20 total
03:42touches between the rushing game and the receiving game with Montgomery outs.
03:45I want to build that in somehow.
