00:00Hello there, good afternoon. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. I'm afraid it's not the
00:05best forecast for this afternoon's weather. Cloudy, grey and often feeling quite cold
00:10under those grey skies too. And you can see that's pretty much sticking around through
00:14much of the afternoon. Plenty of cloud around, the best of any brightness likely to the lee
00:18of any high ground. But for many of us it's going to be cloudy, dull with some drizzly
00:22outbreaks at times too, particularly to the far north-west of Scotland where those outbreaks
00:27of rain and drizzle are likely to persist through much of the day. And those temperatures
00:31really struggling under cloudier skies too in some areas across central parts, only really
00:36reaching around mid-single figures. It is going to be slightly milder to the north,
00:41highs of around 9, 10 Celsius, but for many it's going to feel rather chilly through much
00:46of the afternoon. And then into the evening and overnight we don't really see much change.
00:50That cloud sticking around, still some outbreaks of drizzle, particularly across hilly areas,
00:54across central and southern parts. And that rain still lingering across the north-west
00:59of Scotland, shifting slightly further southwards, may just start to edge into western parts
01:03of Northern Ireland later. May even see some clear spells to the very far north of Scotland.
01:08But once again a very cloudy night on offer, still some drizzle in places and in some areas
01:12those temperatures won't really change where they won't fall away under those cloudier
01:16skies. Now as we head through into the beginning of the weekend, once again not much change.
01:22There's still going to be plenty of cloud around some drizzle at times. These outbreaks
01:26of rain and drizzle will slowly edge their way through into the Scottish borders, just
01:29reaching into northern parts of England by the end of the day. And they'll spread their
01:33way slowly south-eastwards across parts of Northern Ireland too. And we will start to
01:37see some clearer skies merge across parts of Scotland, but there's still plenty of blustery
01:42showers to the far north here too. And fairly similar in terms of temperatures, once again
01:47struggling under cloudier skies and still slightly milder across the north with highs
01:51of around 9-10 Celsius. Now for the second part of the weekend we will start to see a
01:58change but it is going to be largely unsettled. A frontal system moving into the north on
02:02Sunday could bring a spell of wet and windy weather, perhaps even some snow to higher
02:05ground. And as we head towards the end of the year there is a chance we could see some
02:10fairly unsettled conditions with some strong winds, some outbreaks of rain too. However
02:14there's fairly low confidence at this stage. So if you want more information on the weather

02:24Otherwise that is it from me. Bye bye for now.
