00:00Hello, good afternoon. Well, you might have noticed it's feeling a bit chillier this afternoon.
00:04Still going to be plenty of sunshine around, but you might just have to wrap up warm to
00:08enjoy it. Let's take a look at this afternoon then. Plenty of cloud across England and Wales.
00:13Starting to see some brighter spells later, but there is a risk of showers. A few inland
00:18showers, but showers mainly around coastal areas, particularly around coasts of Northern
00:22Ireland, Scotland, where they could be a bit heavy. May even see some sleet and snow across
00:26the Scottish Highlands. But there will still be plenty of dry and bright weather around,
00:31but it is going to be feeling cold. Plenty of brisk northerly winds. So if I add on the
00:35feels like temperature, you can see it is going to actually be feeling colder where
00:39you do catch the wind. As I say, there should be still plenty of bright spells to kind of
00:44end the day. Still plenty of showers as we head into overnight. These mainly in coastal
00:49areas across much of England. Wales is actually going to be turning rather dry. Plenty of
00:53clear skies, but that means it is going to be feeling cold. We may start to see some
00:57mist and fog develop, and there's going to be plenty of frost in rural areas. A different
01:02story in Scotland, though. Cloudier with plenty of showers moving through. A few showers feeding
01:07into coasts of Northern Ireland as well. So a cold night on offer. As I say, plenty of
01:12frost around in those rural spots and feeling cold once again in those brisk winds across
01:17Scotland. So a cold and crisp start to end the week, but once again, there'll be plenty
01:23of sunshine across England and Wales. It is just going to be feeling cold once again,
01:28but slightly lighter winds across much of England and Wales. We're probably not feeling
01:31quite as cold as it does today. Across Scotland, though, those showers continuing to feed in.
01:36These merging together to bring longer spells of rain once again could be heavy. Still seeing
01:41that sleet and snow across the Scottish Highlands, too. So particularly in western areas, you
01:45may just see quite a damp day and those blustery winds still continuing to and those showers
01:49still feeding into those northern and western coasts of Northern Ireland. So similar temperatures.
01:54But as I say, across much of England and Wales, lighter winds. So feeling more pleasant than
01:58perhaps it will do this afternoon. If you're not a fan of the cold weather, well, it is
02:03going to be a fairly brief cold spell. And as we move towards the beginning of next week,
02:08we've got a return of this westerly flow. So a return of that milder air. But if you
02:14want more updates on what the weather's going to be doing for this weekend, for example,
02:17then Alex will be here later with this weekend's weather. Otherwise, that's it for me. Bye
02:22for now.
