Israeli forces have detained medical staff after forcibly evacuating the last major hospital in northern Gaza.

The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, was among those taken for questioning.

The WHO said the raid on the hospital, one of three medical facilities on the northern edge of Gaza, put the last major health facility in north Gaza out of service.

00:24Patients who were evacuated from the hospital after interrogation said they were left in
00:28the cold before being moved to another hospital on Saturday.
00:56Like the Indonesian and Al-Auda hospitals, Kemal Adwan has been repeatedly attacked
01:00by Israeli forces, who have been attacking the northern edge of the Gaza Strip for weeks.
01:06The Palestinian Health Ministry said contact with staff inside the hospital in Beit Lahiya,
01:11which has been under heavy pressure from Israeli forces for weeks, had been lost.
01:16The UN has said the area has been under near-total siege, as the Israeli military heavily restricts
01:22access of aid deliveries to an area where an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 people remain.
