00:00It is expected that the implementation of projects and programs for the development of the country will be accelerated next year.

00:08This is because President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. has already strengthened the 2025 National Budget today.

00:15However, some parts of it were vetoed by the President.

00:29That is what President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. has promised after he strengthened the 2025 National Budget today.

00:38From the original 6.353 trillion pesos proposal budget, it was increased to 26 billion pesos, which became 6.326 trillion pesos from the National Expenditure Program of the Administration.

00:53The education sector is still leading in the implementation of the biggest fund, which has 1.053 trillion pesos.

01:00It was followed by the Department of Public Works and Highways, or DPWH, which has 1.034 trillion pesos.

01:07The health sector, DSWD, DALG, Department of Agriculture, DOTR, Judiciary, DOLE, and Department of Justice are also priorities in the 2025 National Budget.

01:19In his statement, President R. Marquez, Jr. confirmed that he strengthened the fund after he vetoed P194 billion pesos,

01:27the amount of line items that are not in line with the Administration's agenda for the next year.

01:33Some line items of DPWH and unprogrammed funds reached 300% were also vetoed.

01:42Meanwhile, the President decided to implement under the Conditional Implementation the assistance in the Kaposkita Program or AKAP of the DSWD.

01:50It was not called for the programs to still be implemented to our poor countrymen, but it needs to be secure and the use of funds is correct.

02:12...of the Ayuda sa Kaposkita Program or AKAP to the convergence efforts of the DSWD, DOLE, and DEDAP.

02:20This way, we ensure that its implementation will be strategic, leading to the long-term improvement of the lives of qualified beneficiaries,

02:37The President's addition to the 2025 National Budget is scheduled for 10 days.

02:44The proposed bill needs to be reviewed and studied well before it is passed into law.

02:50President R. Marquez, Jr. was the one who led the assessment of the proposed 2025 National Budget along with several heads of concerned agencies.
