00:00Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and Salam Sejahtera.
00:18Ladies and gentlemen,
00:21I am honoured to welcome you back to the year 2024,
00:27a year that will be remembered in history as a precursor and a pioneer
00:33to the national innovation agenda for the beloved country of Malaysia.
00:39If the Madani Economic Framework was launched on 27 July 2023,
00:46it would make it possible for Malaysia to re-establish itself as an economic pioneer in Asia.
00:56What is more important and valuable is the Madani Economic Framework,
01:01which gives guidance to the leaders and the next generation
01:07to build an economic system based on human principles,
01:14with benevolence and mercy,
01:18so that justice can be established for every Malaysian citizen.
01:24For this purpose, the government has made an effort to launch a new initiative starting this year.
01:35I also understand that not all government decisions and policies are popular or effective.
01:45However, all of this is carried out with a clear political stance,
01:51with a sincere intention, as well as a detailed assessment
01:55to ensure that the foundations provide the most benefits to the people.
02:02For example, a diesel subsidy.
02:06And before that, the electric tariff,
02:11which was launched by the Madani government
02:14to cover the long-term deficit in coal subsidies
02:19that have been allocated to the richest parties,
02:25and foreigners, three and a half million people,
02:29who are not eligible to receive subsidies.
02:32Alhamdulillah, the allocation for the Rahmah Cash Fund, or STR,
02:38and the Rahmah Fund, or SARA for this year,
02:42has been increased by Rp10 billion,
02:46which is the largest amount in history.
02:50God willing, in the future, the government is eager to increase the allocation of STR and SARA
02:57by Rp3 billion, or 30% to Rp13 billion in total.
03:06In addition to increasing the number of year-end subsidies,
03:11the government is also keen to increase the costs that must be handled.
03:18Because the cost of living is handled through the implementation of the Payung Rahmah program
03:24throughout the country.
03:26Supervisors are actively mobilized to observe, monitor, and take action
03:34on any parties that overprice.
03:40We must handle the current economic situation wisely.
03:49Because it also involves what is not expected to happen as bad as this,
03:59which is the flood disaster that happened recently.
04:05Therefore, the Madani government has assured
04:10that all efforts will continue to be carried out in all countries
04:16to ensure immediate assistance
04:20and recovery work and assistance as soon as possible
04:25will be provided by all central government agencies,
04:29associations, cooperatives, state agencies, and local governments.
04:37Preparatory operations have been planned in advance
04:45to avoid the negative impact of the disaster.
04:51God willing, we will be able to save and protect more lives,
04:57such as victims or property that is damaged.
05:02Regarding state spending,
05:04in addition to providing support to basic needs such as roads,
05:10festivals, libraries, and supplies,
05:13by continuing the flood prevention projects in high-risk areas,
05:19although it will have a high impact and impact on state spending.
05:25In 2025, Malaysia will take responsibility as the leader of ASEAN.
05:35The complexity of the global landscape now
05:39requires ASEAN to play a new role and direction.
05:44This turns out to be a major task for Malaysia
05:47to lead ASEAN this year by raising the theme of inclusiveness and efficiency,
05:54that is, to bring all existing forces,
05:59all existing teams as one
06:03and ensure that this development continues to be sustainable
06:08and take into account, reduce differences,
06:13and deal with the problems faced by marginalized, poor, and marginalized groups.
06:22So this is our intention,
06:25so that ASEAN enjoys and shares the abundance of prosperity
06:31fairly without any marginalized groups or regions.
06:41Therefore, for this purpose,
06:43we must jointly uphold the principle of striving for excellence,
06:48which means trying to find ways and methods to record the achievements,
06:57to strengthen the unity in our country first,
07:00because before we enter the international market,
07:06the country must be well-organized,
07:09the level of governance must be elevated,
07:12the level of integrity and integrity must be enhanced,
07:15only then will we gain respect as a sovereign, independent, and responsible country.
07:24This is a great respect for the country
07:27and an opportunity to build a new page in the global agenda,
07:33which continues to challenge several major issues,
07:38such as the occupation, cruelty, oppression, colonization in Gaza,
07:45and several other challenging areas.
07:49We pray to Allah SWT,
07:51hopefully our efforts will be blessed by Allah SWT.
07:56Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
