00:23Overseas Filipino worker Hector comes home to his family in Iloilo every year.

00:28He has been working for four years in Abu Dhabi as a yacht maintenance operator.

00:33Because for him, no value could be ever compared being with family every Christmas and New

00:48And from Iloilo, Hector went to Manila again because today he flights back to Abu Dhabi.

00:54Josica is from Calamba, Laguna and flying to Bohol today.

01:07She will be attending his mother and sister's birthday.

01:10She went to the airport early to avoid the expected load of passengers.

01:21According to the data of NAIA, over 130,000 incoming and departing passengers have been

01:27recorded today at the airport.

01:29And this number is expected to climb in the next days.

01:32Ninoy Aquino International Airport recorded the highest number of passengers last year,

01:38which hit over 50 million passengers.

01:41It is 10 points higher than the 43 percent in 2023.

01:45NAIA has recorded almost 300 flights, which is higher by 4.83 percent in 2023.

01:52The airport also recorded an average on-time performance, or OTP, of 83.36 percent from

01:59December 30 to January 1, where the OTP has reached 88.35 percent on December 31, the

02:06highest since NNIC took over the management of the airport.

02:10According to the NNIC, they are targeting to fix airport infrastructure and streamline

02:15operations by 2025, which will greatly help in the growth of tourism and country's economy.
