00:00All hands on deck and preps for a successful Treslacion Thursday next week from the Carina Grandstand to its home in Quiapo Church.

00:07And as Rod Lagusan reports, a ban on firearms and alcohol is set to take effect next as part of security preparations.

00:17In less than a week, the annual Treslacion will be held.

00:20And just like the previous years, all hands on deck on its preparation.

00:24According to Manila Mayor Hani Lacuna, she expects at least 6 million people to attend.

00:29This year, for the first time ever, the Feast of the Jesus Nazareno will be a national feast.

00:33With every parish across the country participating simultaneously in the festivity.

00:59The Quiapo Church urges devotees to keep the Feast of the Jesus Nazareno holy, safe and organized.

01:05The route of the Treslacion this year remains the same as it was in 2020.

01:09According to Quiapo Church, waiting on bridges along the route will be prohibited until the Treslacion has passed.

01:15The roads in the route and adjacent areas will open after the Treslacion completes its passage and the area has been cleared.

01:21This year, the Andazo Courage is modified to prevent devotees from stepping onto and climbing its front portion.

01:28A glass panel has been added to the upper part of the image's enclosure, allowing light to enter and ensuring it remains visible to the public.

01:35Additionally, an exhaust fan and ventilation system have been installed to prevent moisture on the glass enclosure, just like last year.

01:42The Church reminds devotees that in Pahalik Ritual at Carino Grandstand to refrain from kissing the image and keep themselves sanitized at all times.

01:50We will continue to carry out hand washing, sanitizing, and if possible, face masks will also be used.

02:05Overall, around 14,000 security personnel will be deployed for the event, including police and personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

02:13The Manila Police District will also impose a gun ban from January 8, Wednesday, until January 11.

02:18This is a week-long activity. There are already a lot of activities, especially in the Chapo area.
