00:00It may have been the wrong number, but is this the right figure? Here's a look at
00:04brand-new Jack's Pacific, The Simpsons' Moe.
00:21Collect your favorite cartoon characters from The Simpsons TV series with the
00:25Wave 2 of The Simpsons 5-inch figures featuring basic articulation. These
00:30iconic characters from The Simpsons are sure to please cartoon lovers and
00:33collectors alike. I know we'll have more to look at for Moe Marmoris' Sizzlack.
00:37First though, let's grab the tape measure and see how tall the brand-new 5-inch
00:40scale. I know I kind of already given it away how tall the 5-inch scale figures
00:44are from Jack's Pacific. This makes up now Wave 2 of the line and we've already
00:48done a pretty successful job of not only collecting the first Wave, but also
00:52looking at them as well on this channel. Moe Sizzlack though, as true to form, yes
00:57the figure is in fact 5 inches in height. Maybe it's just a little bit
01:00shorter than that, but we'll stick with 5. That though translates to a figure
01:03that's about 12 and a half centimeters tall. Ending up ordering old Moe here
01:07from Entertainment Earth. Unfortunately though, with the Canada post-strike that
01:10was happening for four weeks straight, this guy was delayed to finally get to
01:13my doorstep. Finally though, getting a chance to have a look at him and finally
01:17also having a chance to compare him with some of the other maybe residents of
01:20Moe's Tavern. Here's what the figure though looks like with Krusty the Clown. Of
01:23course, here's what he looks like with Homer Simpson. One though that I don't
01:25think visits Moe's Tavern all that often, but one that certainly loves to drink on
01:29the job. Here's also what he looks like with Willie. Here's what he also looks
01:32like with Otto. And here's also what he looks like with Bart Simpson. As we've
01:35also done this as well before, I'm gonna bring in the Super 7 release of him. Yes,
01:38unfortunately still missing the apron. I don't even know now, am I gonna even
01:42waste the time to try to track down an apron? Speaking of Entertainment Earth, I
01:46had ordered that Moe from Super 7 and from Entertainment Earth. Shipping it out
01:49though from that company, I never got the original apron. Now Super 7 said I
01:53could still go back to the company where I ordered it from, but with the amount of
01:56time that's already surpassed, I think the likelihood of me now getting Moe's
02:00apron for at least the Super 7 release is not gonna happen at all. At least for
02:04Jax, Moe already has his apron on. The figure also comes in clear with his red
02:07phone and bar rag. The phone itself, well I do like the idea of course that you
02:12can lift up the receiver. Is that Bart Simpson on the other side? Hello? Hello? No,
02:16I don't want a man to hug and kiss. Of course you can see that the receiver
02:21does extend pretty far. I mean you don't want probably pull it any bit further
02:24than this. At least it does have a stretchable cord. Unfortunately though
02:28without having a tabletop, Moe as you probably saw at the beginning of this
02:31review is basically just having the phone dangling when he has this close to
02:34his head. The figure also comes in clear with his bar rag. Now bar rag is very
02:38similar to the one we got from Super 7. Basically what you do is you just take
02:41the figure's hand, just bring it out like this, tuck sort of the rag around his
02:46hand like this, kind of tuck it in between his fingers and I guess he does
02:49a good enough job of holding it. It doesn't really as much contour his hand
02:52like the Super 7 release did but at least it does have that. And of course
02:55going back to that phone, put it into his hand like this, you can of course bend
03:00the elbow and just have it really close to his ear like that. Again it
03:06just sort of seems strange that you've got a dangling phone below him. What's
03:09that all about? But at least he comes in clear with some accessories. Let's go
03:13ahead and put that to the side. Now going back though to his apron, what you
03:17could really do if you wanted to, on the back of the apron there is actually a
03:20little connecting peg. I don't really want to do this too often because I feel
03:24like I'm gonna stretch the hole but basically just detach it like this. You
03:27can just take the apron off all together if you want to and once you do that, hey
03:31now all of a sudden you got the Super 7 release of him. I still want to get that
03:35apron though. I know I keep thinking about it. I mean just to complete the
03:38look of Mo. Mo feels really incomplete without his apron. Let's see if I can
03:43track run down. Anyways though basically you just take the apron. I guess maybe
03:46while we have this off right now we can kind of look at the under under workings
03:50of Mo. He's got of course his bowtie, a belt buckle there as well with of course
03:53the belt run through it, a decent-looking pair of slacks, nice blue top. It doesn't
03:58seem to be really a whole lot of paint. I would imagine that it probably would
04:00have molded this in plastic, probably would have molded this in the color of
04:03plastic. Probably the only little bit of paint that they've done here is for his
04:06bowtie and of course the pupils on his eyes and his hair. Head sculpt for Mo
04:10looks really good. One thing again like just to bring back in the Super 7
04:14release. Super 7's went the route I think of making Mo's hair just a little
04:18lighter. I think I like the darker gray a little bit more. Obviously as well the
04:23skin tone is somewhat similar although the plastic that Jax is clearly using
04:27seems to be a little bit more shinier. The coloring of the shirt again somewhat
04:32similar as could be said as well for his pants. One thing also too with
04:37unfortunately Jax specific releases is that they are sorely lacking when it
04:41comes to additional accessories. Now again we've already looked at two
04:43things just the bar rag and the phone. I feel like they probably could have
04:46thrown in a few other things in there as well but it just seems to be like the
04:48protocol nowadays with Jax stuff that they're not just throwing really
04:52anything in there. I mean like one of the benefits certainly of the Super 7,
04:55granted yes I know you were paying the extra prices that went along with it, is
04:59that Super 7 threw a whole lot of extra stuff to this. Mo with it with really
05:02again only having his apron, the phone and of course the bar rag, that's all
05:06you're really gonna be getting with this figure but I guess that's still
05:09better than nothing right? We're gonna go ahead and just go ahead and put the
05:12apron back on his body. Just take the peg and fit it around the hole. It never
05:18really successfully does this the first time. I always have to kind of fight to
05:22get this back on here and again once I do this now only in this review I'm
05:26probably just gonna leave the apron on because I know just the number of times
05:28of doing this you're eventually gonna stretch that hole too far and it's not
05:32gonna be able to work properly. Stop that. One thing also too as well you can see
05:36there's a big seam line right at the back just because again like you can
05:39take the two halves and you're connecting them to the middle but again
05:42when you're looking at from the front you'd never know that it was there. I
05:44guess some of the other things that they could have also thrown included with Mo
05:48is maybe like a Stein mug, you know a flaming Mo would have been ideal as well.
05:52Maybe that might be something we might get down the road but I think for right
05:55now Jack seems to be pretty content with the idea of giving these guys a few
05:59accessories thrown here and there. Sort of just generic accessories, nothing
06:02really relating to episodes necessarily. Now for the figure's articulation going
06:06back to Mo's head sculpt which again I really like. Head rotates though all the
06:10way around. These things aren't on ball joints so you're not gonna be able to
06:13move the head up and down nor will you be able to move it back and forth. What
06:16you're doing right now is all you're gonna be able to do with the figure's
06:18head. What you're gonna be able to do with his shoulders though is a whole lot
06:21more. Mo's arms rotate all the way around. You can also as well bring those arms
06:25out. The figure does have a swivel just below the sleeve. Also has a single hinge
06:30in the elbow. There is also no swivel here necessarily in the elbow itself so
06:35it's just gonna give you a bend and the hands do rotate. Yes they do all the way
06:39around with a hinge there as well. If you were still gonna have the apron off, the
06:43figure technically would also have a waist swivel. It's a little harder
06:46obviously to do with the apron on. The figure's legs do split but again like
06:49mileage will only vary because of course now you've got them sort of
06:52self-contained inside of a sheet of plastic. The legs move forward and back.
06:56There is the bend at the knee rotation a little bit there as well and of course
07:01you've got yourself some ankle pivot. Is anything loose on Mo? So far again this
07:05guy out of the packaging. One thing I did notice is not so much the elbows. The
07:09elbows seem to be okay. I think this elbow of the two seems to be the
07:12little bit the more looser. I've noticed though this guy getting him out of the
07:16packaging his ankles are a little bit loose. So unfortunately though when it
07:19comes to these releases, while they do look good and they fit the part,
07:22unfortunately though joint looseness seems to still be an issue that plagues
07:26this line. One last chance they bring in Mo of course absent of his apron. You
07:31know again like some arguments also could be said that for whatever it was
07:35like a $50 or $70 price that Super 7 was charging for their Simpsons
07:39figures at least you got I feel like a money's worth when it came to a lot of
07:43the accessories that they threw in. Granted though Mo I don't think needed
07:46to come included with the crate or the panda. I think that was just wasted
07:48expenses but I do think like having the alternate head sculpts and some again
07:52like episode referenced accessories that was always kind of a fun touch. Jack
07:56specific though doesn't seem to be doing that really when it comes to their
07:59Simpsons figures but again bringing in the ones we've already had a look at. I
08:02have really enjoyed this line so far and Mo seems to certainly be a
08:06character that under normal conditions other than obviously Super 7 had already
08:10released him this would though have been a character I would have imagined that
08:13Super 7 would have released you know several waves down. The fact that we have
08:16this many characters so far with only Jack specific being what the second
08:20wave in. I mean we still are gonna be looking at also Lisa. I picked her up
08:25also from Entertainment Earth so her review will be coming right around the
08:27corner but considering that already we've got three Simpsons characters
08:31including the Lisa and of course you got yourself your second B characters as
08:34well. That's a pretty tall feat considering again how little time that
08:38Jack specific has actually handled the line. Mo I would say is a decent addition
08:43to what we've already gotten so far from Jack specific. Again his accessory count
08:46is pretty light but that sort of has gone with the territory so far of what
08:50we've gotten from Jacks and their Simpsons figures. I think though I've now
08:53settled on the idea of really sticking only with collecting the five inch
08:56figures. I don't know really what Jacks has planned for the smaller two and a
09:00half inch scale but I mean short of maybe picking up itchy and scratchy
09:04because again I feel like the size is more appropriate to what we're getting
09:06with the five inch variety. I can't see myself really being all that committed
09:10to getting the two and a half inch scale figures when the five inch scale figures
09:12first of all give you a better articulation and for what little again
09:16you get for it they at least come included with accessories as well. Now Mo
09:20again has the does have the removable apron on the back of his body. I wouldn't
09:24really recommend doing that all that often because sure pegs in place right
09:27now and it's done that about three or four times that I've done it. I can't
09:30imagine though the resiliency of having that plastic stay in the same shape. I
09:34think after a while you're probably gonna have a problem try to fit that
09:37back in the hole. Stop that. Sculpt for the figure is quite good.
09:40Posability again when it comes to Jack specific figures it's hit or miss. Mo is
09:45not that bad. I mean I've again I've picked up a couple of Jacks Simpsons
09:48figures where the articulation just out of the packaging was already developing
09:52really loose elbows and knees. Mo's knees seem so far pretty good and his
09:56elbows for the most part other than really just having one a little bit
09:59loosey-goosey seems so far okay. What do you guys think this figure? Let me know
10:04down below in the comment section. Have you guys still been collecting the
10:06Simpsons figures from Jack specific and if you are collecting both the two and a
10:10half inch scale and the five inch variety are you still gonna be
10:13collecting both sizes or are you gonna decide to pick up only just the one size
10:17moving forward? Speaking though of picking things up how about this for a
10:20segue you can certainly pick this guy up right now at Entertainment Earth as
10:24far as I know Mo Sizzlak is available right now along with some of the other
10:27Jack specific Simpsons offerings. If would also just help sweeten the deal
10:32that link that I can provide down below in the video description will be also
10:35that same link that can save you 10% on anything that's currently in stock. It
10:39doesn't have to necessarily be Simpsons it doesn't even have to necessarily be
10:43Jack specific but anything that's currently in stock that's that same link
10:46yeah will drop 10% off your total purchase. Feel free to do a little bit of
10:50spending if you guys though certainly like spending your time how's that for
10:54another segue spending your time watching this review you can do it as
10:57solid by hitting it with a like. You guys want to stick around for more so? I hope
11:01so. We are also gonna be looking at a couple of other Jack specific Simpsons
11:04figures that I have picked up and I've had had to wait unfortunately about four
11:08weeks for finally the Canada post strike to finally clear. Now that it's cleared
11:12hopefully all the boxes that I've now picked up and have been in status limbo
11:16this whole time will now start finally showing up at my doorstep but as always
11:20guys thanks for watching see you guys next time
