00:19of the deceased will also be called up to have their statements recorded.
00:23Four attendees of the concert had died after allegedly consuming drugs during the event
00:29which was held on New Year's Eve.
00:31Police said the four fell unconscious along with three others at the event.
00:35They said some victims might have bought drugs before attending the concert, while others
00:39may have bought them there.
00:41Meanwhile, Malaysian Artists Association or Karyawan President Datuk Freddy Fernandez
00:47said concertgoers should exercise better judgment when attending any event or concert.
00:53He said entertainment should be enjoyed through music, without any illicit elements such as
00:58drug abuse.
00:59He said in 2014, a similar tragedy occurred at the EDM music festival, Future Music Festival
01:06Asia, which claimed six lives, mostly youths, and post-mortem results revealed the involvement
01:12of synthetic drugs.
01:14Following the incident, several policies were implemented, including the stipulation that
01:18EDM concerts could only be held in enclosed venues to facilitate better control.
