00:00Since this month, PhilHealth has a higher answer on how to treat some diseases.

00:06PhilHealth also covered those who were admitted to the hospital but did not need to be confined.

00:16The most common claim from PhilHealth is low-risk pneumonia.

00:19Before, the answer of PhilHealth was only up to Php19,500.

00:23But since January 1, the answer of PhilHealth is already up to Php29,250.

00:30And that's just one out of a total of Php7,000 case rate, including diseases.

00:34A new round of increasing the answer of PhilHealth has just started.

00:37If you can remember, in February of 2024, we increased by 30%.

00:44And now, before the year ends, we increased by another round.

00:49This time, it's 50% for around 9,000 packages starting January 1 admission.

00:57More than 50% increased benefits for other more serious diseases, including kidney transplant and angioplasty for heart attacks.

01:05Our kidney transplantation package, which used to be Php600,000,

01:10now it will reach Php800,000 to Php2,000,000 benefits package.

01:16The angioplasty package, which used to be Php30,000, now it will reach Php530,000.

01:26This is a big thing for the millions of Filipinos who rely on PhilHealth for their medical needs.

01:31This is a good life for Evelyn Valdez, who has been relying on PhilHealth for two years for her dialysis.

01:37A new hope is a cheaper kidney transplant because her income will go down and she just needs a donor.

01:44I hope I can get a transplant. I will not lose hope and I will get stronger inside.

01:51Since this year, PhilHealth also has benefits for outpatients or those who have been admitted to the hospital, but they don't need to be confined.

01:58The patients who are brought to the emergency room, they don't admit that they don't have benefits before.

02:06But now, we came out already with an emergency care package that doesn't need to be confined.

02:13We will cover it and we will pay for it.
