00:00The first full cabinet meeting for 2025 in Malacanang is now underway.
00:06Among the discussions is the return of the programs included in the National Expenditure Program that was not approved by the Congress.

00:20In the 18th Cabinet Meeting led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,
00:26the Executive Board of the Government decided to review the projects included in the National Expenditure Program that was not approved by the Congress.
00:37According to the President, it is important to review and return the socio-economic programs that the Administration needs to boost the economy and improve the lives of Filipinos.
00:50This includes a P500 million budget for routine maintenance of bridges, P12 billion for road maintenance, and P21 billion for feasibility studies.
01:05President Marcos submitted to each government agency a list of the most important projects that need funding.
01:14Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista confirmed the completion of the flagship programs of President Marcos.
01:23This is followed by a veto on several projects for infrastructure and problems in the right-of-way or land blocking the passage of projects,
01:33such as the North to South Commuter Railway, Metro Manila Subway, MRT, and other projects that will improve public transportation.
01:43The DOTR is already working to solve the problem.
01:47Organize an inter-agency committee among certain departments like the PWAs, the OJ, OSG, the SHUD, and other government agencies for us to work together to resolve issues.
02:11Before the end of 2024, President Marcos submitted more than P3 trillion for the 2025 budget.
02:20This is the highest budget allocated to the education sector.
02:24That is why Malacanang guessed the allegations that the budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways is higher than that of the DepEd.
02:32According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the administration followed the constitutional mandate that prioritizes the education sector.
02:42He clarified that the budget of the Philippine National Police Academy is included in the education sector,
02:47and that it is a strong weapon that increases the overall allocation for the education sector.
02:53Not only the DepEd is a part of the education sector, but also ANYATESTA, State Universities and Colleges, and SHED,
