00:00The Social Security System, or SSS, continues to ask for higher contributions from its members.
00:08According to the SSS, the benefits of the members will be greater compared to what they will be paid.
00:15For example, the tax yield of Php 190 per member who earns Php 5,000 per month
00:22can be reimbursed by adding a Php 30 health benefit that the SSS will receive.
00:29This means that in case of an illness within a month,
00:32a member of the SSS will receive an additional Php 900 help.
00:38The retirement pension of the members is also expected to increase
00:41while the SSS's capacity to pay debts to the victims of the calamity is increasing.
00:48It is estimated that Php 51 billion will be collected from the higher contributions.
00:55According to the SSS, the SSS Premium Hike will be suspended.
