Last year saw some massive upheaval politically across wales and the uk, and we can all bet 2025 could give even more controversy. I’m here in the centre of Cardiff finding out what changes people want to see happen this year, from the NHS in Wales to bin collections, there are always opportunities for governments and councils to improve.

00:00Health mainly, I think. More than, yeah, priority over the rest.
00:07Yeah.
00:08Do you think there's problems in the NHS in Wales that you've noticed?
00:12Yes. Either when you're in hospital, I mean, you do have great care,
00:17but then it does feel like there's still elements missing of that,
00:22that they could be more structured in place for it as well.
00:26Aftercare out of hospital, I think there's a lack of that as well.
00:31I'd like to see more into the NHS,
00:34more into stuff for people with homelessness and mental health problems,
00:39you know, more housing, you know, stuff like that.
00:44And more power to local authorities.
00:47A bit more activity in the councils, a bit more fast decision-making,
00:51a strong push on renewables and particularly EVs and EV infrastructure
00:55as the business we're in, and showing some leadership in that regard.
00:58More police around certain areas in Cardiff.
01:01Like, for example, Ely's quite run down
01:06because there's not enough police around there
01:08and there's too many crimes happening in places like that.
01:11Empty premises about where I am, you know, with our animals down and slaughtered there.
01:15You know, they've been vacant for years and now, like, you know,
01:18people are not going to use them.
01:20You know, it's against the authority of the people, like.
01:24The NHS, I think.
01:26If they pour more money into it and pay the nurses and doctors more money,
01:32the more we'll stay in this country.
01:34Because so many of the doctors are going to Australia, places like that,
01:39to have the better deal.
01:41So to keep them here, I think, would be a good thing.
01:44Homes, because I'm currently homeless.
01:48You know, not no more. I've got a home.
01:50I'm living in a hotel now.
01:52But this year, I would like to see things change for the homeless
01:57because there's a lot of people without homes.
