00:00They're asking for people to come to yourself and they're not turning up.
00:05Well, that's, you know, very negative in a way.
00:09And I think, to strike your own, I totally agree with that
00:11because my surgery is always packed.
00:14No matter what time the day I go in there,
00:16the doctors are under massive pressure and the nurses.
00:19And I think by doing that, it's going to lead you to all the crews.
00:23And just people are not getting a second chance.
00:25They shouldn't have work.
00:26They make an appointment.
00:27If they're ill, I appreciate they can make it.
00:30But come on, I know lots of people who just think, no, I can't be bothered.
00:34I think there are a lot of people that don't turn up for appointments, definitely.
00:40Some are genuine, some just don't bother to turn up
00:43or don't advise them that they're not coming.
00:45It is a waste of people's time.
00:47Yes, I understand that.
00:49Missing two appointments might be a bit harsh.
00:53But, yeah.
00:54So, there's possibly an argument that the two-strike rule is a little bit harsh.
01:00But people I spoke to today actually think it should go a little bit further
01:03and include fines as well as being put to the back of the list.
01:06To take them off the waiting list is any good
01:08because they're going to have to go back on the waiting list eventually.
01:11People are stubborn and they wouldn't do that.
01:13So, a fine would be much better.
01:16A decent amount, I'm going to do.
01:18I mean, it's no good putting £10 or something like that.
01:21£50 would affect people going and they will start tuning for their next appointment.
01:26I agree with that in principle, but I think they also should fine them.
01:31Not a massive amount, but shake it up.
01:34And the other thing, national health is dead, finished, gone.
01:38It's terrible.
01:39What you've got to do is get the nurses back working eight-hour shifts,
01:44get rid of all your managers who are taking up all the money and expenses,
01:49get everybody back sensibly working eight-hour shifts,
01:53Monday to Friday, everything else is over time.
01:58The NHS in Wales has been struggling for years and years
02:01and people told me that they're still having problems,
02:03but they're hopeful that things can get better with these new rules.
02:07I've had my two shoulders done recently.
02:10It took about six years to complete on both of them.
02:14They're both the same, which was a long time, basically.
02:17Do I mean in pain?
02:17So I think in Wales it's a lot worse than what it is in England,
02:21but England's not good anyway.
02:23If you're not going to put the measures on people
02:26and make them think in a proper way
02:29and not waste the government time and patience,
02:33I mean, the NHS is under incredible pressure.
02:37I mean, everybody knows that.
02:38I've only got to speak to my doctor
02:40and I can see when she's talking to me.
02:42We're having a conversation, I've been there so many times,
02:44I feel like I'm part of her family now,
02:46and I can see just by body language,
02:50sometimes she's talking to me.
02:51She's doing the best she can for me,
02:53but you can see she's thinking maybe the next patient coming in.
