01:55Well, good afternoon to you all, especially the legislators, men and women, and to the
02:05Attorney General of the Prosecutor's Office, and all authorities here, the Secretary of
02:15the Republican Committee, and to all Venezuelan people, we are here today, gathered here today,
02:24to receive this special commission of the National Assembly.
02:30So, we begin the year with lots of strength and energy, and with lots of actions in favor
02:37of the Venezuelan people.
02:40Today, all families are just on party, because we are just initiating school, and so all
02:52children and teenagers, youngsters, all families are involved to initiate the school year.
03:03They are just very updated on social media, there is a new modernity, so all families
03:10are just updated on social media, because they are just preventing from misusing social
03:20media.
03:21So, TikTok already recognized the death causes that is the result of misusing social media,
03:33so all youngsters and teenagers are just updated, and are going to denounce any abuses on social
03:42media.
03:43The Prosecutor's Office will continue with investigating actions on these crimes that
03:52are the result of the misuse of social media.

04:15Good afternoon to you all, honored members of the National Assembly, and citizen Tarek
04:26William Sepp, Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office, and all legislators, Pedro Carreño,
04:35Juan Cacao, Jose Brito, Alexander Cordero, welcome to you, welcome all, and Secretary,
04:45the Executive Director General, well, welcome to you all, Happy New Year for the Venezuelan
04:52people, and it is a joy to be here in this session in which we will receive delegates
05:01of the National Assembly to notify the beginning of the legislative period 2025-2026, so I
05:10want to praise this beginning, and there you see the people, very joyful on the streets,
05:20so today we initiate the school year, people are very enthusiastic and in full peace, and
05:29so they are used to celebrating these events, and so here we see the legislators, and all
05:39the Venezuelan people are just at their workplaces, and at parties, some people are just on the
05:47beach, on mountains, circulating across the nation, so I wish you all a happy 2025, and
05:56we are initiating very, with a lot of strength, and so we are pleased to receive you all,
06:05and we initiate this session, thank you very much.
06:11Thank you, Comptroller VizcaĂno, and so well, now let's give the floor to legislator, to
06:22the National Assembly, Pedro Carreño, who is going to notify us the new legislative
06:30period in this 2025-2026 term, thank you, good afternoon, Mr. Dr. Tarek William Saab,
06:45head of the Moral Council, and Attorney General of the Republic, Gustavo VizcaĂno, Comptroller
06:55of the Republic, and an Ombudsman, and other authorities, so as it is abided by Article
07:08219 of our Constitution, on February 15, it is said the National Assembly, and in this
07:20way we have done it, Article 9 of our Internal Regulation stipulates that when the National
07:31Assembly is installed, the President would designate Commissions to inform the branches
07:39of the public power, that is why today we have comprised the Commission, and so legislators
07:50Angelita Mayo, Jose Brito, Alexander Cordero, and myself, we made up a Committee, and so
08:02we came in front of the citizen power to inform that has been installed the National Assembly
08:11for the 2025-2026 term, and in the installation of the National Assembly, there is a unique
08:23item which is the election of the Directive Board, and so it is a communicational and
08:32remarkable event, which there I informed that the Directive Board has been made up of the
08:44following way, Legislator Jorge RodrĂguez GĂłmez, who is the head, and Pedro JosĂ© Infante Aparicio,
08:52first Vice President, America Valentina Pérez Dávila, second Vice President,
08:59and MarĂa Alejandra Hernández, Secretary, Clerk, and JosĂ© Omar Molina, Deputy Secretary,
09:12and so to comply with formality, I just delivered the letter of the information to the President
09:23of the Moral Council of the Republic, and so I informed that the citizen power,
09:38the old information regarding the National Assembly for 2025-2026 term.
09:54In this way, this Moral Council of the Republic, the citizen power, a power that stems from the
10:08light of the Constitution, which was created in 1999, within its great breakthroughs,
10:22made us to disrupt that classic tradition of three powers, each one more lucky to others,
10:36and just lucky to the foreign interests. So, we have five powers in this country,
10:43which are united through the constitutional principle of cooperating among polypowers,
10:51to strengthen our democracy, our participatory democracy, to keep order, to keep peace,
11:03not to allow any foreign powers, any conspiracies, any treason to our homeland.
11:14All conspiracies have been defeated, have been unveiled, all have been placed publicly before
11:24the world as mercenary actions, not only a search to steal from us national resources and deliver
11:38to those foreign powers who do not mind popular democracy. So, we have been strengthened,
11:48and I could end my speech by saying that Venezuela is a did world, Venezuela is a
11:55country that generated through SimĂłn BolĂvar and the liberators a decade, an era that hasn't
12:05been repeated anywhere, defeated the most powerful empire at that time, the Spanish one.
12:19And so, we have got the legacy of that glory. So, I can say that what Venezuela has gone through
12:28on all these years, attempts of coup d'etats, of lives, assaults on barracks and police
12:37headquarters, attempts of wars with uprisings, attempts of invasions, use of mercenaries,
12:47use of structural groups, criminal groups, the known G2, which are associated with those groups
12:58of far-right wing, which are supported by US imperialism, all of them have been defeated.
13:07And so, Venezuela has gained a lot of respect from it. So, this is a country that must be respected
13:14with solid institutions, with a judicial system that does not allow impunity, that does not allow
13:23the violation of our constitution, and does not allow that acts like those I have mentioned,
13:31that without being processed or being through court. That's the message of the nation,
13:40that unity that is going to remain on time, and that surely the Venezuelan people will think,
13:48because if we just make a poll, a primary poll, and if they want to make it higher,
13:59I would say that 99% of this country is fed up of these calls to violence, of these calls to
14:07irrational riots, that has been just isolated, isolating the far-right. And so, Venezuela is going
14:20to express their support to the institutionality, and to the swearing ceremony of the President
14:31Nicolás Maduro. That's what's going to happen, and that is what is decreed by this power.
14:42We listened to statements of Venezuela's Attorney General Tarek William Saab as the public ministry
14:47hosted members of the National Assembly who came to update the Attorney General on the
14:51inauguration of the National Assembly and its leadership last Sunday. Venezuela continues
14:56on the path of peace ahead of President Nicolás Maduro's inauguration this January 10th.
15:00For what he said, the nation continues at peace as the school year resumed this week,
15:05and Venezuelans go about their daily lives in complete normality. And the Attorney General
15:09also expressed the full support of the Venezuelan people and the Venezuelan institutionality for the
15:15swearing ceremony of President Nicolás Maduro, who was elected by the majority of Venezuelans
15:20in the elections of last year by 28th. This is the current situation in Venezuela. It is at peace,
15:25and everything is on track for the inauguration of the President next Friday,
