00:00Stephen A. Smith ripped the holy hell out of Tyree Killia, so you want to hear it?
00:04Um, I can imagine, I can imagine what, like, I tried to look at it from my own perspective.
00:12Stephen A is just looking at it from a stand on his, so I can imagine what he said.
00:16What do you picture Stephen A. Smith on a high horse or a soap box?
00:21Soap box. He wants everybody looking at him in a glass house. Oh yeah. But, but so I tried
00:27to, like, I tried to give it from a player's perspective without just standing on a soap
00:34box and ripping him. I tried to explain why it was an issue. Whereas Stephen A is just
00:41going to attack the comments and whatever. You want to hear what he said? Sure. Here's
00:46Stephen A. Smith. May I go first, fellas? Sure. Go ahead. Oh, hell to the no. Stay your
00:54ass right there. You want to chirp, right? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I wanted to go first.
00:59I wanted the non-football guy to go first cause I wanted to defer to y'all, but I wanted
01:02to lay it out for you Shea and for you Swaggoo. Um, ain't this the same Tyree Killia? Now
01:09listen, we know he all world. He's my favorite receiver. The cheetah is the cheetah. However,
01:14wasn't that the same dude that said Tua was comparable to Patrick Mahomes? Ain't that
01:23that same dude? Ain't that that same dude that swore? I mean, swore up in there. Watch
01:28what we do. Ain't that that dude? That's the same dude. And then long before, long before
01:34we could look at Tua and look at the concussions or even after, did they roll up into Kansas
01:39City last, last year in the playoffs and we knew they were done the second we heard the
01:43meteorologist give us the weather report because these brothers can't wait. They can't play
01:47in weather that's worse than 40 degrees. Ain't that the same team? Correct me, Shea? Swaggoo
01:53am I lying? Ain't that the same team? Oh, by the way, ladies and gentlemen, the same
01:58Tyree Kill, who got his bag now, restructured his deal for Miami. Got his bag now. I don't
02:03want to hear about your family because your family is when it comes to the money, not
02:07the game. That's you. That's not your family. That's you. That's you Tyree Kill. This is
02:12the same brother. Tua had a 17 starts last year. This year he got 11. This year he was
02:18targeted 171 times last year. 123 this year. Receptions 119 last year. 81 this year. Receiving
02:27yards 1799 last year. 959 this year. That's a 38% drop in receptions. That's damn near
02:36800 yards. It is an 800 yard drop in receiving yards. And by the way, his reception yards
02:42dipped from 112 to 56.4, which is his fewest since his rookie season. Life's a little bit
02:50different when you ain't with Patrick Mahomes. We tried to tell you. We don't want to hear
02:55about no family now. You got your bag. That ain't family, bro. Family's the bag. Once
03:01you get the bag, family's taken care of. This about you. Recognizing life is a little bit
03:08different when Patrick Mahomes ain't throwing you the football.
03:10There you go. Stephen A. Smith. First take. There's a couple of points that I would make.
03:18He's had his two best years with Tyreek. So being with a Tua. So saying being with
03:29Patrick Mahomes and life ain't been, life has been better. Okay. This year he would
03:36have had a thousand yards if he caught the damn ball. That's true. So, so let's, let's not. So
03:41let's stop that. Um, you can't talk about your situation and then talk about, you ain't working
03:50a week before that. That's why you, you know, I think we ain't on the same page.
03:56I think that the criticism for Tyree kill that is fair is yes. He is obviously they've been the
04:01best offensive weapon they've had since Ricky Williams. They haven't had anybody like him.
04:04He's been incredible. He was voted the best player, but those key drops in big games,
04:09I mean, just piled up and then you were in a game that all right, you probably weren't
04:14going to get into the playoffs, but you weren't dead yet. You were looking up at the scoreboard
04:18and you said, nah, no boss. I'm out. I just think that, you know, and I said this yesterday
04:26and I mean this, I think what he said and how it built to that had more to do with his frustration
04:36and less to do with how he really felt. And I said yesterday, I make nothing of it. People
04:41say some dumb stuff when they're mad and angry about the situation. We're human. He's human.
04:49Right. Now the problem is, is because it's in front of everybody. He ain't going to be able
04:56to live, you know, live through it. Like maybe we can't, like if Steven says something ridiculous
05:03or somebody on TV says something ridiculous, when did they come out the next day with,
05:08well, I'm going to start the show with, you know, I didn't mean to hurt anybody.
05:13Right. But they attacked an athlete. Like the same thing, KB, you could tell the way that was
05:20building, the way that interview was building, I could say, he's getting ready to say something
05:25ridiculous. Right. It was building that way. We all knew it. So now that you heard it. So I'm
05:32going to wait a little bit of time. Okay. I'm going to wait before I think he meant those things.
05:40That's it. Okay. Now my biggest issue, don't tell me how much of a competitor you are
05:48and then not go in the game. That's it. That's the only problem I have with him. All that other
05:54stuff. A lot of times you say things right. To try to justify your feelings. Right. So him saying
06:04I want out and follow it up. What I got to do was best for me and my family. He's trying to
06:09justify saying that, but come on, you like, at some point you got to look at who he's been since
06:19he's been here and then take those words and say, that's not really something he has ever said
06:25before. I'm going to give it a break. And then I'm going to give him a little time to come back
06:31to it. He did it. And then whether it was trolling or tongue in cheek though,
06:34he did let the whole thing linger about that. It's time for me to go coach. You know, like he let that,
06:39you know, he let that, that fester, whether, however he meant it commas, no commas.
06:43Like he just let that be a thing that just sat there. And you know, I thought that the whole
06:49thing with him here is that, you know, he was supposed to be a captain. He was supposed to
06:53grow up a little bit. And again, it's just like, all right, I guess, I guess some people just
06:57aren't capable of growing up down here. I don't know. I don't know what the deal is. Some people
07:01just don't got that in them or you're not tremendously talented. You're not old or
07:05counterpoint. Here's what I would say. Coaches, players, organizations,
07:14your best players, aren't your best leaders. Okay. That's a fact. So stop it with that.
07:24Okay. As great as D-Wade was, D-Wade was, he wasn't the holder of heat culture. It was UD.
07:32Right. And there's nothing wrong with that. Like your best players aren't always your captains.
07:39Right. Perfect example. When Tua said, I don't want to be captain. Right. He understood.
07:47Like I, at this point in time where I am on this team can not be the voice of this team.
07:56Let me earn it. And so now he's there, but like, yeah, man, I don't, I don't make anything of it.
08:06I'm going to wait. Now, if he doubles down on it, okay. Here was a Zach sealer. This was him being
08:14asked about the Tyree kill comments. Man's man, Zach sealer.
08:19What was their reaction to Tyree kill? Yes. I seen you open the door for each future.
08:25Yeah, I saw him. Yeah. You know, I think everyone has their own voice and if that's what he wants
08:31to say, that's what he wants to say. I have all the respect for him as a player, but that's how
08:36he feels. That's how he feels. So we leave it at that. Is it disappointing that when you guys
08:40plan hard to the end, he's not in the first sign of first, he's like, I'm out of here.
08:46I don't know. I don't know how the game went. I was on defense and I wasn't watching the
08:50offense. I'm making a correction. So I don't know. I've been watching it. I'll be honest with you.
08:54But yeah, obviously it's, it's a knee jerk reaction. That's a, that's what happens.
08:59And I don't know what happened. I'm not going to speak for him or speak on that. That's his
09:02own decision. But I know as a team that we need to stay focused this year on making sure everyone's
09:07here and making sure we're on time and we're focused on, you know, winning it all next year
09:11and making the corrections from this season. I'm going into OTAs and camp this year.
09:16There you go. Zach Seeler yesterday, uh, speaking to the media.
09:20I'm no translator, but it kind of sounds like if Tyreek Hill wants back in that locker room,
09:24you got to beat Zach Seeler in wrestling. I just, I just think that, I just think that
09:32I was always worried. I was never worried about what I said to the media.
09:37Never could care less. You mean nothing to me. I did care about what I said and having to go
09:45back in that locker room. Cause those are the guys you're with every day. So everything that
09:51I ever said about every situation that I was ever in on a football field or off the football field,
09:58always kept that in mind that at the end of the day, I got to go back in that locker room
10:03and deal with guys that I have a lot more respect for than the person I was talking to after a game.
10:09No disrespect to the media. I'm just saying, that's the reality of when you hear guys talk
10:15about what you go through as a team, that's the respect you want. That's the respect you need to,
10:22to, to play the game. Not the respect of somebody who's asking questions after watching the game.
