00:00All right.
00:01B, I got a question for you.
00:03Yeah.
00:04Saints have asked for an interview with Cliff Kingsbury, New Orleans Saints, right?
00:12What if any impact does it make that Cliff Kingsbury?
00:20I think it was a preseason, but suited up in a New Orleans uniform, had the Florida
00:26Lee on his helmet.
00:28I don't think it makes that big of a difference.
00:30I think what it comes down to is the opportunity, what control he's going to have, and how much
00:36money they offer.
00:38And for those people that sit up here that act like they got their heads stuck in the
00:42sand, when you have a season like they had, you're going to get interest.
00:48Cliff still has the ability to say no because of what he has, but he also has the right
00:55to move on if he wants to.
00:57And I believe the way that they, like I said this yesterday or the day before yesterday,
01:02the way that they built this staff, they knew that some of the people that they have on
01:07their staff may get interest.
01:12Here's all I could say.
01:16If I'm going to be picky about my new job, New Orleans ain't it, period.
01:27I love the city, B. It's not about the city.
01:30They are currently minus $50 million on the salary cap.
01:35Yeah, I understand that.
01:36Like they're just a mess.
01:38I understand that, but it's only 32 of them out there.
01:42I get that.
01:43A lot of times, you know, what Ben Johnson did last year doesn't happen very often.
01:51I get that, but I think, and you tell me if you agree with this, I think on your second
01:55job, when you've made, you've made some money, like the notion that somebody, that anybody
02:05should be happy with enough money is silly.
02:08Like go back and watch wall street and, and, and save me your pearl clutching about how
02:12many yachts can you water ski behind?
02:15Everybody wants money.
02:16How many you want?
02:17Right.
02:18This is America.
02:19Like it's easy if you're driving in your car and traffic sucks and you're like, oh, we'll
02:24just stay here.
02:25I'm making money.
02:26You would leave for another job too.
02:27So I don't do that right in a heartbeat.
02:31But I do think knowing things, knowing how the NFL works, knowing the difference between
02:37good ownership, bad ownership, knowing the difference between good situation, bad situation,
02:43like for a second job, I do think that stuff matters.
02:47It doesn't mean you're not going to take it.
02:48You're not going to interview.
02:49You're not going to look at everything.
02:51But I think you do a much better job of discerning what is, what is better.
02:59You know what I mean?
03:00And I, as of now, honestly, I think the bear's job would be better unless if you have legit
03:10questions about bears ownership, I understand.
03:12I feel like you've got a weird, they can tell me all they want the Kevin Warren and Ryan
03:18polls are on the same page, same page.
03:20I don't believe you.
03:22Um, like there's just an inherent power struggle of brewing there that if it isn't already
03:27happening, but the bears, if you believe in Caleb Williams, and I think there's still
03:33plenty of reason to, if you believe in Caleb Williams or, or at least you aren't
03:38convinced, we've seen the finished product, right?
03:42Like if you believe in that, they have 80 mil in cap space, um, good pick situation.
03:49I, the bears to me are a significantly better job than new Orleans for the longterm.
03:56But I was like, but like you can walk into there with that mindset, like you just stated,
04:02but they also can have somebody, they can say, listen, you get a chance to bring in
04:06a GM and, and, uh, you all get the chance to fix this thing.
04:10And we're going to pay you this dollar amount, blah, blah, blah.
04:14Things happen when you get in a negotiation, you go, a lot of times you go into places
04:18where I'm, I'm not doing this.
04:20And then you hear everything you wanted to hear.
04:22So, but I don't have an issue with Cliff getting these interviews and things like
04:27that, because that's what happens in the NFL when you're successful.
