01:31officials of the Agriculture Department, as well as the ICAR, and all the staff, researchers
01:42and scientists of ICAR, ladies and gentlemen.
01:48It is both a great honor and a privilege to join you today at the ICAR Research Complex
01:58for NEH Region Bhoomiya, as we celebrate 50 years of dedicated service to the northeastern
02:07states of India.
02:11Since its inception in 1975, this institution has been a torchbearer of agriculture, innovation,
02:21addressing the unique challenges of our region, and ICAR has developed over 100 crop varieties,
02:30introduced high-yielding livestock breeds, and promoted sustainable practices such as
02:38integrated and organic farming.
02:41These efforts have enhanced food security, conserved biodiversity, and empowered farmers
02:50with cutting-edge technologies.
02:53The global recognition of ICAR's integrated organic farming system models further underscores
03:02its leadership in sustainable agriculture and rural development.
03:09On this momentous occasion, I commend the outstanding contributions of ICAR's scientists,
03:18researchers, and staff.
03:24Through innovative solutions like the integrated organic farming systems, you have empowered
03:32farmers, enhanced rural livelihoods, and paved the way for entrepreneurship among our youth.
03:41Your dedication has reshaped the agricultural landscape of the Northeast, and for that,
03:50we are deeply grateful to each and every one of you.
03:55I also would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Shri Shivraj Singh
04:02Chauhan Ji, the Honorable Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, for his
04:10unwavering support in transforming agriculture in the region.
04:17Programs like Mission Organic Value Chain Development for Northeast Region, Rashtriya
04:24Krishi Vikas Yojana, and PM Kisan have been instrumental in equipping farmers with better
04:32inputs, technologies, and access to markets.
04:37These initiatives have laid the foundation for Meghalaya and the entire Northeast agricultural
04:45license.
