00:00When people leave their homeland and go abroad to work in different sectors,
00:07we get the recognition of that in our own country, in our own homeland.
00:11And there is nothing more to be happy about than this.

00:22I am very happy that you have been given this award for your contribution to the development of India and other countries.

00:39The social work that I do there, that is why I have been given this award.

01:23This is a great honor and we are very grateful for this recognition that has been given to our country and our people.
01:30And especially we are happy to have received it from the hands of Her Excellency the President herself.
01:36So how do you think about that? How will it be?
01:42Yes, it will be inspiring to our people because it will help us to build upon whatever cultural contacts there are.
01:55And we hope to expand the relationship between our two countries so that we can benefit culturally.
02:02And the title of this award is the vision of Rice Coral Company.
02:10Well, as the Prime Minister has said in his speech and as the President herself has said,
02:19that if the overseas Indians are strong, then Bharat also becomes strong.
02:27How do you feel about the hospitality in Odisha?
02:31Hospitality is wonderful, without any doubt. I would like to come back again.
02:35What is your vision?
02:40Well, I am heading back but I am looking forward to working with various authorities in India
02:48in boosting the cultural contact and cultural relationships.
02:52That is our most important goal.

03:04Oh, I am really very deeply honoured and I am overjoyed to receive this 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award
03:13from the President of the Republic of India.
03:16And I am grateful to the Government of India for recognising my contribution in building bridges between India and Mauritius.
03:25You are now in Odisha. How are you?
03:29Oh, I am very happy. I am delighted. I have seen quite a few parts of Odisha. I have heard about it.
03:36It is the hidden secret of India and I think I must encourage Mauritians to come and visit Odisha
03:43because we have people of Odisha origin in Mauritius too.
03:47And people used to speak the Oriya language.

04:13How do you see this award?
04:18I see this award with great respect and with great value.
04:25I see that this award will inspire many people.
04:29If we keep moving forward in our lives, without getting stuck in any obstacles,
04:37then there comes a time when you become the recipient of this award.
04:42This is what I have experienced.
04:44I had never thought about this.
04:46But this kept going on in my work and it kept happening.
