00:18Minister said he was ready to be tried in court over claims that he had betrayed the

00:23country by discontinuing a review application in 2018.

00:28Mahathir pointed out that he had actually increased the country's territory by developing

00:32Pulau Layang-Layang in Sabah and reclaiming land to create islands off Flankawi.

00:58Patu Putih, which was awarded to Singapore by the ICJ in 2008, is situated about 14 kilometres

01:12south of Johor and 44 kilometres east of Singapore.

01:16It is made up of granite rocks.

01:18In 2017, Putrajaya applied for the ICJ to review its decision on Patu Putih but the

01:24Pakatan Harapan government, led by Mahathir, withdrew both applications in May 2018.

01:30A Royal Commission of Inquiry established last year found that Mahathir had likely acted

01:35deliberately to influence the Cabinet to discontinue the applications.
