01:01The event, which has been held since Friday in Casablanca,
01:04looks at medical advances related in particular to the health of children.
01:10We start this newspaper in the Kingdom, where we celebrated yesterday the 88th anniversary of the presentation of the Manifesto of Independence,
01:21a historic event for freedom, sovereignty and the fulfillment of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
01:31The presentation of the Manifesto of Independence,
01:34an essential event in the struggle for freedom and national sovereignty.
01:39This anniversary, deeply rooted in the memory of all Moroccans,
01:43due to the profound meanings it embodies, symbolizes the high values of the national awakening
01:48and the strong symbiosis between the throne and the people to defend the constants of the nation
01:53and foresee the future with confidence and serenity.
02:00The Moroccan people celebrate the 91st anniversary of the presentation of the Manifesto of Independence on January 11, 1944,
02:12a key event in the history of the national struggle for the independence of the Kingdom and the defense of its sacred values.
02:19It should also be remembered that this document is the fruit, the symbiosis of continuous efforts, dispensed by an entire people.
02:30The Manifesto of Independence included a set of political claims in the independence of the Kingdom
02:38under the rule of the legitimate sovereign of the Kingdom, Sidi Mohamed Ben Youssef,
02:43and the adhesion of Morocco to the Atlantic Charter, which gave the right to the peoples to dispose of themselves.
02:49This document is a consecration for all Moroccans.
02:56It pays tribute in many ways.
02:58First, it salutes the primordial role played during the Second World War,
03:02after the letter of Sultan Mohamed Ben Youssef in 1939,
03:06who was able to convince the allies that the Kingdom should obtain its independence,
03:10especially after the conference of Enfa in 1942.
03:17This historic manifesto was a true national revolution,
03:21reflecting the patriotism of all Moroccans and their spirit of sacrifice and mobilization.
03:26The concrete proof of the awakening of a people capable of taking its destiny into their own hands
03:30and pursuing its march of liberation and progress in a perfect symbiosis with the glorious throne of Alawite.
03:38And on the occasion of the commemoration of the presentation of the Manifesto of Independence,
03:42His Majesty the King Mohammed VI gave his grace to more than 1,300 people, 1,304 in total.
03:49They were sentenced by different courts of the Kingdom.
03:55We stay in the Kingdom where the reconstruction efforts continue after the siege of Alhout.
04:01They have allowed the relocation of hundreds of households.
04:04This is the case, for example, in Taroudante, where more than 300 houses have been rebuilt.
04:08To know a little more about the work done by the authorities on the spot,
04:12let's follow this report by Abdelmoula Boukhriss and Dina Amri.
04:17Fifteen months after the earthquake that shook the region of Alhout,
04:21the reconstruction rate of the houses reached 80%.
04:25The families, having lost their homes, were accompanied throughout the rehabilitation period.
04:31The Direction of Construction and Environment organize regular meetings
04:36in order to follow the reconstruction files of the former Medina of Taroudante.
04:41Mobilization, commitment and seriousness are the keywords of this dynamic,
04:46whose priority is to relocate the families and assure them of decent living conditions.
04:54The study on the rehabilitation of the houses was carried out by a commission
04:58that includes representatives of the regional authority,
05:01representatives of the study offices and laboratories
05:03responsible for defining the extent of the damage to the reconstruction or repairs concerned.
05:11Haja Hafsa follows closely the progress of the reconstruction of her house,
05:16damaged by the earthquake, after the technical teams have repaired the damage.
05:21Today, the house has reached its final phase.
05:28My house has cracked in several different places.
05:31We repaired what we could with bricks.
05:34And thank God, this site is progressing well.
05:38The house of Haja Hafsa is one of the 300 damaged buildings,
05:43classified according to the degree of danger and the type of intervention and measures necessary to be taken.
05:51We have been able to record nearly 310 damaged houses,
05:54listed according to the extent of the damage.
05:56These houses are classified according to two categories,
05:59those requiring repairs and those requiring to be demolished to be fully reconstructed.
06:08The urban leveling of the doors and historical walls surrounding the ancient city of Zeroudend
06:12is also the subject of the rehabilitation program of historical buildings
06:17and archaeological sites affected by the earthquake.
06:23In France, two trams collided yesterday at the station of the Strasbourg station,
06:28in an accident that caused about thirty light injuries.
06:31A brutal collision occurred following a reverse of one of the two trams
06:36at the level of the platform of the Strasbourg station,
06:39the first major French city to have put back in service its network of tramways in 1994
06:44and which had already known in 1998 an accident exactly at the same place.
06:49A tramway had already hit another in the tunnel under the station,
06:54due at the time to an excessive speed of one of the two trams that had injured 17 people.
07:03It's a nightmare for firefighters.
07:05President Joe Biden compares them to a war scene with bombings.
07:09The many fires that rage in Los Angeles have caused at least 11 deaths,
07:16but the wind that stirs the flames has begun to weaken,
07:19while the controversy over the effectiveness of the rescue has risen.
07:24So far, more than 10,000 buildings have been destroyed
07:27and more than 14,000 hectares have gone up in smoke.
07:34Beirut and Damascus are committed to opening a new chapter in their relationship.
