00:00Okay, so firstly, let me thank Honourable Prime Minister for
00:28launching National Turmeric Board tomorrow, as promised by, announced by him during election
00:40time, especially on the eve of, on the day of Sankranti, it cannot be, nobody can get,
00:49give a better gift to the farmer community, especially Telugu speaking states. So on behalf
00:56of entire farmer community, I thank Honourable Prime Minister. Secondly, formation of a board
01:03will definitely increase, will work towards the betterment of turmeric crop, its prices,
01:14right from some research on seeds, till marketing of the crop, even in kind of infrastructure,
01:27kind of processing units, packaging units, all this, this kind of infrastructure also
01:31can be developed there. Previously, especially in the past decade and a half, the prices of
01:42turmeric were very low. Per quintal, the average price was about 5 to 6 thousand rupees. Whereas,
01:51after 2019, after I became, I was elected as MP of Nizamabad, which is the hub of turmeric
02:02production in entire world. So we have initiated few logistical changes, like curtailing on
02:11imports, focusing on more on exports, giving exports more logistical support. Even post
02:21COVID, the demand for turmeric, because it's got anti-viral qualities, anti-biotic qualities,
02:29anti-inflammatory qualities, anti-cancerous qualities in it, and it's a very big immune
02:34booster. So due to these qualities, the demand of turmeric across the globe had increased,
02:42and pre and post COVID, the export also has more than doubled. Keeping this in view,
02:50the government also was proactive in providing logistical support, like, you know,
02:55Kisan Rail kind of programs. There was a direct rail connectivity to Bangladesh as well,
03:04so that Southeastern, South Asian countries, till Japan, all these countries keeping exports
03:17to these countries in view, Bangladesh is a hub for exporting turmeric from its place.
03:23Also, turmeric is used in cosmetics. Turmeric oil is used in cosmetics. So even further research
03:33also can help Turmeric Corp, its farmers. And doing all this since 2019, the prices,
03:39average price of 6000 rupees per quintal, it increased to 18,000 rupees, which was all-time
03:48high, historically all-time high, in the year 2023. But 2022 also, it saw good prices, but
03:572023 was very good. Even now, this 24 also was good. 2025, now this harvesting season has started.
04:06Now also, prices are continuing to be in a decent stage.
04:13So tomorrow, and how many members will be joining this inauguration?
04:19Honorable Commerce Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal will inaugurate this from Delhi,
04:23headquartered in Nizamabad. Also, I understand that farmers from Karnataka, Andhra, Tamil Nadu,
04:34Maharashtra, maybe Northeastern states also would be joining this online program.
04:40So the Telangana people and the farmers, a big achievement from the BJP party or
04:45central government or the PM Modi. How do you see, like, you are excited for this inauguration?
04:49So Turmeric Corp, it used to, the price of Turmeric Corp used to match 10 grams of gold.
04:56There was a time.
