00:00The addition of more outlets of the President's services to the families in Calacang, Manila

00:07was approved by the Metro Manila Council.

00:15Angelique, it is expected that more Filipinos will be able to access the President's services in Metro Manila.

00:23This is after the approval of the Metro Manila Council.

00:26This is the request of the Department of Agriculture for the President's services to the primary families.

00:36At the behest of the Metro Manila Council, they approved the request of the Department of Agriculture

00:41for the President's services to the 150 families in Metro Manila.

00:48It aims to reach more Filipinos with affordable products like fresh vegetables,

00:5429 pesos per kilo of rice, and rice for all, which will be 38 pesos per kilo from 45 pesos per kilo.

01:01At present, there are already 20 stores in Metro Manila.

01:05The DA also announced the sale of 36 pesos of rice by the National Food Authority, NFA,

01:11to Metro Manila LGUs next month.

01:14The target is to reduce the price to 33 pesos by March.

01:18The DA assured the owner of the supply of cheaper rice.

01:23The National Price Coordinating Council, or NPCC, approved a resolution

01:29that the DA wants to declare a food security emergency for rice because of the high price of rice.

01:35This agreement will allow the NFA to issue a buffer stock of rice to stabilize its price.

01:44The Department of Agriculture, Secretary Francisco T. Laurel, Jr.,

01:49and the Department of Trade and Industry, Secretary Maria Cristina Roque,

01:53visited Pasig Megamarket today to evaluate the different prices purchased.

01:58It was announced that by January 20, the maximum suggested retail price, or MSRP,

02:05for imported rice will be 58 pesos per kilo.

02:09Angelique, one of the discussions is that the MMDA has ordered Metro Manila LGUs

02:17to carry out Modified Working Hours in Metro Manila from 7am to 4pm.

02:26When this was carried out in Metro Manila, there was only a minimal effect on the traffic.
