The NSW north coast is preparing for another round of wild weather, following last nights huge storms. Heavy rain, fierce winds and quick-fire lightening raced across the state from west to east. One man died in Cowra, while the SES received almost three-thousand calls for help.

01:34The SES says it received more than 600 calls for help in the capital and almost 3,000 statewide.
01:41We're not out of the woods yet, we still have a storm front coming through into the north-west
01:46part of the state and we'll see continued thunderstorms with rainfall, localised rainfall
01:52potentially up to 100 to 200 millimetres.
01:55Grafton has already seen hail, while communities up and down the coast brace for another round
