00:00But Bob Euchre, 90 years old, passing away, of course, played longtime broadcaster for the Brewers,
00:09actor, Major League, Mr. Belvedere. Bob Euchre, Scotty, gone at 90. What a loss. Rest in peace.
00:19Yeah, obviously, I think it's a huge loss for baseball. And, you know, let's face facts,
00:27this guy was hilarious. I mean, I remember growing up and watching him doing, you know,
00:35Miller Lite commercials. I saw today someone put a giant 40 of Miller Lite on his statue outside
00:43the ballpark in Brewtown. I think he was an institution in not only Milwaukee, but in baseball.
00:50I think he's clearly the funniest guy that ever played baseball or that ever had anything to do
00:58with Major League Baseball. I think he's a Hall of Famer because of his humor. Certainly not his
01:04baseball. I thought his play-by-play work was worthy of the Hall of Fame as well. But his
01:11comedic ability, what he did on Johnny Carson, when I was a kid, he was always on Johnny Carson
01:19and he was terrific. I don't know if you've ever seen him talk about trying to catch a knuckleball,
01:24but he talks about how you just let it spin until it stops spinning and then have the umpire pick
01:30the ball up and hand it to you. He's just a freak. And he was genuine. He was real. He was always
01:38there. Talk about a guy that lived at a ballpark. I mean, this guy called every Brewers game for the
01:43last 50 some years, he was really special. And it's amazing to me how they show a guy that really,
01:53you know, never mattered as a player at all. He joked about how the, you know, companies paid him
02:01not to use their equipment. He literally, but he would walk out on a baseball field
02:07and wave his arm and fans, you know, 60,000 fans would go crazy. I mean, this guy was loved by
02:16everyone, Mike. Everyone loved him everywhere. It didn't matter if he was a Brewers guy,
02:21people still loved him. And he did games all the way to the end. I mean, he called a couple of
02:27those games against the Mets that they lost in that, in that first round. And man, it sucks.
02:32He was so good in those major league movies.
