00:00The local government of Cebu is now preparing for the upcoming Sinulog Festival 2025 Grand Parade.

00:07This is Myrtle Pasigane of PIA Central Visayas for Balitang Pambansa.

00:14The preparations for the Sinulog Festival 2025 are ongoing.

00:18The government of Cebu is leading the preparations

00:21along with the Police Regional Office 7 and Sinulog Foundation Incorporated.

00:25The Police Regional Office 7 spokesperson, Police Lieutenant Colonel Janet Rafter, said

00:30that the PNP is on a heightened alert to ensure the safety of those who will attend the Sinulog festivities.

00:35The most important activity for the cultural is the Grand Parade

00:39which we are going to deploy a total of 2,976 PNP personnel.

00:45On the religious sector also, the most important is the solid food procession.

00:53We will also be deploying a total of 1,870.

00:57We are really trying our best together with all the partner agencies to ensure the safety

01:03and the security of all those who will sojourn to join the celebration and to show their devotion.

01:09Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvarez Silla also passed the executive order

01:13that includes the fees for the establishments during the Sinulog 2025.

01:18This includes the regulations on entertainment and the sale of goods.

01:22Street parties are also strictly prohibited to maintain order during the celebration.

01:28During the solemn procession, the route of the procession

01:33is for the establishments around or adjacent to the procession

01:38not to disturb the concert of loud music.

01:42Roads are free from any obstruction.

01:47And so that is why I am banning street parties.

01:51The conduct of street parties is strictly prohibited.

01:54The sale, distribution, and consumption of any intoxicating beverages

01:58are prohibited along the processional route.

02:01The 460th Fiesta Senior at Sinulog 2025 will be held on January 19, 2025

02:07in a hall attended by millions of people, including locals and international tourists
