00:00More than 4 million people came to the Grand Mardi Gras held in Cebu City

00:07where the government of Cebu and the local government of Cebu City showed their support

00:13for the successful establishment of the capistahan.

00:23It's already night, but the different contingents of the Ritual Showdown are still in full swing in their performance.

00:33Using the growing props and lighting design, the stage became brighter.

00:39According to Cebu City LGU, all the effort and preparation for the capistahan was fruitful for more than 4 million people.

00:49So far, so good. I've seen that our police, our law enforcement agencies, our employees from Cebu City Government,

01:00they are doing a fantastic job executing the plans that we have made over the past few months.

01:06The financial assistance reached 33 million pesos to the Cebu Provincial Government of Cebu City

01:14to ensure the success of the Sinulog Festival 2025.

01:19We are just here to support Cebu City.

01:23And we thank Mayor Raymond Garcia for bringing back the Sinulog back to the people.

01:32A celebration of who we are, what we are, and a celebration of our faith to the Señor Santo Guiño.

01:43Undersecretary Terrence Calatrava was accompanied by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas,

01:49Special Assistant to the President, Anton Lagdameo,

01:53who visited President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to witness the Sinulog.

01:58A message to our capistahan of the Sinulog for this year.

02:16A grand fireworks display is the formal end of the Sinulog Grand Mardi Gras this year,
