00:00The Bureau of Internal Revenue or BIR will not stop their efforts to fight corruption.

00:06In the program Mike Adelive, said BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagi Jr.,

00:11some of their employees are also displaying their trustworthiness.

00:16It's just a reminder that BIR reached their target collection in 2024

00:20which was laid by the Development Budget Coordination Committee.

00:23BIR admitted that there are still some companies,

00:26like some cigarettes and vape companies, that are being targeted.

00:29That's why they will not stop their efforts.

00:31At the same time, they are calling on everyone,

00:34that the purpose of BIR is not only the work and success of BIR,

00:37but also of all Filipinos.

00:40First, we will continue the improvements that we started here in BIR.

00:46All the programs that we started,

00:49because we started when we sat down as commissioners,

00:53we already discussed what our plans and programs will be.

00:58Of course, those results would take time.

01:01That's why now we can see the results of the plans and programs that we made.

01:07First, we focused on improving the taxpayer service.

01:12That's what I always repeat,

01:13because my mentality is that all our fellow Filipinos

01:20want to comply and pay the right fees.

01:25But sometimes, the processes are really difficult.

01:28That's why we want to, as much as possible,

01:30start with ourselves,

01:33to provide a good service to our fellow Filipinos.
