00:00We have to acknowledge that this ceasefire deal has come 15 months way too late.
00:14This exact deal has been on the table since May of 2024, and instead Israel decided to
00:19continue its genocidal campaign.
00:22And this is reflective of a failure of the international community, especially a country
00:27like Canada, that prides itself in peacekeeping efforts, refusing to take concrete efforts,
00:33such as imposing an arms embargo on Israel that could have ended this genocide 15 months
00:38ago.
00:39We're obviously thrilled for the possibility of a ceasefire for the Palestinian people.
00:49It's come 15 months too late.
00:52It's come 200,000 deaths too late.
00:57It's come the loss of many kids' parents, the loss of many kids' lives too late.
01:06But a ceasefire is a ceasefire, and that is a good thing.
01:10Whether Israel comes through with it is a whole other question.
01:15Whether Israel has worked a backdoor deal with Trump is a whole other question that
01:20I think remains to be seen.
01:23But a ceasefire is the bare minimum of what needs to happen.
01:28Gaza has emerged victorious!
