00:00Good evening, Kapuso! I am your brother Kim, who will give you the trivia behind the trending news.

00:09In Texas, America, there is a space rocket that exploded. What caused this rocket explosion?

00:15The residents of Turks and Caicos Island in the Caribbean witnessed the explosion.

00:25It looked like a meteorite hitting the sky.

00:28It was also seen on the coast of Haiti, in Port-au-Prince.

00:32But it was not a meteorite, but debris of the exploding space rocket.

00:40A few minutes before it was witnessed,

00:45The prototype Starship rocket of SpaceX was launched in Texas, America.

00:49We're looking good for that so far. Some great views there.

00:52But more than 8 minutes after this liftoff, there was no contact with the rocket of SpaceX Vision Control.

00:58We did lose all communications with the ship. That is essentially telling us that we had an anomaly with that upper stage.

01:06Why did it explode?

01:09Brother Kim, what now?

01:11The SpaceX Starship is a new spacecraft built by SpaceX,

01:15a privately funded rocket manufacturer and transport services company founded by Elon Musk.

01:20The rocket that exploded on January 16 was just a prototype for the test launch.

01:25In a post by all of Musk, according to the Sinagoo Preliminary Assessment,

01:29it was found that there was an internal leak of liquid oxygen fuel, which is the reason for the explosion of the rocket.

01:35The so-called rocket explosion turned out to be like a few flights in the Gulf of Mexico,

01:40routing to avoid falling rocket debris.

01:43The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration conducted an investigation to check for debris

01:48that fell in populated areas or outside the hazard zone.

01:51But do you know what is considered one of the biggest rocket disasters in history?

01:57On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger was launched.

02:01It was the first of seven crew members to be able to deploy a commercial communications satellite.

02:07And just like Halley's Comet, but only 73 seconds after it was launched,

02:12the Space Shuttle Challenger suddenly exploded.

02:15What became a disaster was the failure of the O-ring seals of the rocket.

02:19All passengers of the Space Shuttle Challenger died.
