00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning. It's cold
00:04for most, some frost in the north, some outbreaks of mostly light and patchy
00:08rain and showers across the north and the west of Scotland. Watch out for some
00:12fog patches across central parts of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, a
00:16cold start here again with some frost. Showers are running down the Irish sea
00:21and this is the cold front which has brought cloud and also some outbreaks of
00:26mostly light rain and drizzle anywhere from Humber down towards the Severn
00:30Estuary southeastwards. This rain will just come and go through the day, a lot
00:34of low cloud to start the day here. It's chilly outside. Winds are fairly light
00:39through the morning and it's got a bit of a breeze coming down this western
00:43side. Elsewhere it's a calm start to the day so there's no forcing on this
00:48weather front which is trying to clear down towards the southeast. As it does so
00:52though, filaments of rain could just clip more central and eastern areas
00:56through the morning into the afternoon. At the same time, once that fog lifts
01:00we'll see some sunshine across Scotland and Northern Ireland, any low cloud
01:03breaking up. Still a scattering of showers through the afternoon but some
01:07sunshine emerging across Wales, the West Country, Northern England as well. Now
01:11here are your temperatures, struggling wherever you are despite the light wind
01:15and some brighter skies towards the north, 5 to 7 degrees Celsius. Now
01:20through this evening and overnight that frost returns and becomes a bit more
01:24widespread across central and eastern areas of the country. Any rain across the
01:29far southeast will clear, the cloud will break up here as well so temperatures
01:33will be lower across England and Wales relative to last night. Now winds will be
01:39relatively light as we head through into the early hours of Thursday morning, away
01:43from Northern Ireland where you'll see the wind strengthen as that cloud
01:46thickens and outbreaks of rain move in. Now this rain could turn heavy for a
01:51time as it pushes from Northern Ireland towards Western Scotland around rush
01:54hour. Wales as well as the West Country seeing that rain around mid-morning and
01:58then extends eastwards. Heavy at times, snow over the Highlands and more of a
02:03breeze coming in as temperatures struggle to around 5 to 7 Celsius.
02:06Showers will follow with a bit of a blustery wind towards the west. So
02:11here's that weather front clearing towards the east and then this is the
02:15storm coming in, this is Storm Eoin. Now winds across the central sway of the
02:20country, Northern Ireland, southern central parts of Scotland, Wales, Northern
02:23England could reach an exposure of 70 to 80 miles an hour. Wind warnings have been
02:28issued for most of the country. There'll be some heavy rain associated with it as
02:32well preceded by some snow particularly across central and northern areas of
02:35Scotland before it all clears away. So your outlook through Friday, showers
02:41will follow that heavy rain. It's going to be a windy day causing disruption
02:44particularly with travel. For more details check out our deep dive and
02:48later on today our 10-day trend. I'll see you later.
