00:20President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is aiming at government and stakeholders

00:25to strengthen the semiconductor and electronics industry in the country.

00:30In his first visit with the Private Sector Advisory Council Education and Job Sector Group,

00:36President R. Marcos Jr. gave the benefits of the sectors to the economy.

00:41Point of the President, the industry must be pushed because of the country's income that can be obtained here,

00:48which is equivalent to the income obtained by the Philippines in the export of products.

00:53It is now time for him to achieve this by cooperating with the industries

00:58to find out how the semiconductor industry can be strengthened.

01:02One of the President's goals is to give incentives to semiconductor locators

01:08or companies operating in the semiconductor industry in a particular location or region.

01:14For example, the President said that when it comes to the Create More Act,

01:17there is no particular benefit or incentive for the semiconductor industry.

01:22Meanwhile, other industries, such as car manufacturing, have been given incentives.

01:27That is why the Executive Board called on the stakeholders of the industry

01:32to help determine the necessary steps and incentives in the upcoming law.

01:38In the same vein, the PISAC Education and Job Sector Group also presented to the President

01:43the country's Semiconductor and Electronics Roadmap

01:46and recommended the creation of the National Education and Workforce Development Plan or NATPLAN

01:51which was supported by President Marcos Jr.

01:54The semiconductor industry is focused on the production and development of semiconductors

01:59or materials used in the production of electronic devices

02:03such as cell phones, computers, and other gadgets

02:06that are an important part of everyday life.
