00:00The Technical Education Skills Development Authority, or TESDA,

00:04inaugurated its first-ever Regional Technical Vocational Education and Training Innovation Center

00:09in Zamboanga Peninsula.

00:11Jocelyn Alvarez of the Philippine Information Agency, Zamboanga, Cebuguay, has the details.

00:17The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, or TESDA,

00:21has officially inaugurated its first-ever Regional Technical Vocational Education and Training,

00:26or TVET, Innovation Center in the Zamboanga Peninsula Region.

00:30Located at the Zamboanga-Cebuguay Polytechnic Institute,

00:34this 14-million facility is set to play a key role in developing skilled workers

00:39for the region's growing industries.

00:42The grand unveiling of the state-of-the-art center

00:44was led by TESDA Director-General, Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez,

00:49who emphasized the importance of technical education in securing jobs for the youth.

00:55Obviously, the pinpoint for TESDA really should be employment.

01:02If you are able to address the aspirations of the people

01:07and be able to convey to them how well you address their aspirations, their hopes,

01:13then I think the success and the excellence will follow.

01:17The Innovation Center focuses on advanced training in machining and computer numerical control.

01:23The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology and modern infrastructure

01:28designed to meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in local industries.

01:33With the launch of this Innovation Center,

01:35TESDA aims to meet the growing needs of the region's labor market

01:39by providing advanced skills training to the youth.

01:42It is a clear testament to the agency's ongoing commitment

01:46to innovation and excellence in technical education.
