00:00I think that we have, there are a bunch of things, culturally they are different, Delhi
00:12is very different from Chennai.
00:17Even character wise, I mean Pradeep sir has done a fantastic job, he directed the original
00:25as well, but we are very different people, physically I am huge, so obviously you can't
00:36just copy paste.
00:41I think while retaining the essence of the film, we have tried to create a variation
00:46of it, instead of a direct copy of it, because the original film was so lovely and the story
00:52was so amazing, I don't think there was much we wanted to really disrupt, but I think we
01:00also wanted to make it a bit more relevant to Bombay, not Bombay culture, sorry, like
01:05Delhi and stuff like that.
01:08General Hindi.
01:09Hindi, yeah.
01:10Sorry, I am not getting the words right.
01:20I think maybe initially I was slightly intimidated because he is such a senior actor and he is
01:26so talented, I was a bit like, oh I don't want to disturb his space and this is his
01:35process and I don't want to interfere too much, but I think he was so free and open
01:40and so enthusiastic to try new things, it made me learn so much in the whole process
01:45and he was extremely supportive throughout as well, I think he could just kind of sense
01:52my energy and would help me build off of what he would have to say as well, because it's
01:58always a give and take in a scene and I think he would give me so much to work with, it
02:02would make me feel like I am doing better just because he was offering so much.
02:07So yeah, I definitely think I learnt a lot from him and even in between takes, I think
02:12he was quite fun and funny actually.
02:14Yeah, he is great fun, he comes with such fantastic energy on set, far more senior than
02:19me even in there, when I am on stage so specially, well I mean he is far more senior than me
02:23across, no but he is a really fantastic actor, I think we had a great time.
02:34Especially in that scene when you come in for the first time.
02:37No, that scene was the interval scene.
02:39Oh yeah, that was also fun.
02:41That was the most fun and you know he generally has this thing that he will give all the takes
02:47and all and when Advait says, okay I have got it, done sir, he will be like, sir can
02:52I, we will take one more, this is just for me and then he would do his thing and a lot
02:58of those got used, a lot of it got used.
03:00It would be something completely opposite from what we had been doing for all of those
03:04previous takes and somehow it would work just as well every time.
03:12You will do that once at the end but no, it is always a give and take, when you are getting
03:18something different then your performance also becomes something different.
03:25I don't think there is, it is not about being on your toes, it is just, it changes, it changes
03:31yeah.
03:32No, I think films and entertainment will always be relevant, our job is to entertain
03:49people and as long as we are able to do that, I think the market forces will figure themselves
03:58out to what and how things work.
04:03I think that has constantly changed, I don't think there is anything new about that.
04:09But yeah, I mean personally, I mean my producers and my distributors whether it is Yash Raj,
04:18Phantom, Zee Studios, they know the business very well, they have been doing this for many
04:25many years now, so I heed their judgement on these things.
04:31Yeah, I mean I think technology has constantly been evolving and I guess that means that
04:38the entertainment industry keeps changing as well but I don't think there is ever a
04:43lack of it.
04:45I think with its evolution we keep evolving and changing as well, there is new developments
04:50and things like that but I think you keep adapting.
04:52Yeah, I think story telling in essence is always changing but it is always something
04:58that will remain.
04:59Sorry, I keep finishing my sentence before you.
05:10I don't think it does but again I am not the expert on this topic, I know very little
05:17about reels also.
05:18Does it?
05:19Can you make a movie on reels?
05:20I am sure you can, I am sure people have attempted it as well.
05:23I mean it is a very short movie, I guess it wouldn't be longer, what is it a minute or
05:28something like that.
05:29Yeah, but I mean I am sure people can do it if they want to.
05:33Yeah, and it is also about people's attention spans, reels, the entire thing is that they
05:39are quick, you can keep consuming many of them, people keep scrolling because they are
05:43so easy to watch.
05:46So I guess it is a very quick amount of time to grab someone's attention and let them finish
05:52that entire 60 seconds because I think it is rare for someone to finish an entire reel
05:56if they are not very invested.
05:57So you can come up with cool things to get people to watch.
06:06I mean not if you are good at it, no I was just joking, I think it depends on the story
06:14and it depends on a lot of factors and obviously each film is not for every person.
06:20Yeah, your reel with Goni uncle in Jammu was like the best, I am not on social media anymore,
06:29even I have seen it.
06:32Yeah, I think dad is the true star of this film, I think.
06:37Yeah.
06:43I think you should watch the film for that.
06:45Yeah.
06:48I think the trailer says all that we should say before the film comes out.
06:53Yeah, we shouldn't give away everything.
