00:00Headlines stolen again yesterday for the Miami Heat.
00:04We found out that late afternoon,
00:06Jimmy Butler was not on a flight or did miss the flight.
00:09I mean, depending on how it's being phrased,
00:11it seems like the agent's talking, of course,
00:13and so is the team.
00:14So we really don't know here in the end.
00:16But the Heat found a way to suspend Jimmy Butler again.
00:19So this time it's two games for Jimmy Butler
00:22as they creep toward this trade deadline.
00:24Nothing is getting resolved anytime soon with this.
00:28And so I would ask you, Gilbert,
00:30is it just a matter of his contract, his age?
00:33I mean, usually things like this get fixed pretty quickly,
00:36but this one is not fixed
00:37and now it's just super uncomfortable.
00:40Yeah, Craig, the saga continues.
00:42You thought after that seven-game suspension
00:44that we would be past that,
00:45or at least a resolution would have been found,
00:48and we haven't found that resolution yet.
00:50And it's at an interesting spot.
00:51I do think that the contract has a large part with that
00:55because the Heat are kind of strapped,
00:56having to match the money for Jimmy Butler.
00:58I believe he's making $48 million this year
01:00and has a player option for $52 million next year.
01:03That's pretty difficult to match that salary.
01:06And obviously his preferred destination is Phoenix
01:09and Bradley Bill is the chip that would make that work,
01:12but he has a no trade clause.
01:13So, so many different factors that play the opportunity
01:16or the idea of getting another team involved
01:18adds more complication to the situation.
01:20And it doesn't seem like a resolution is anywhere in sight,
01:23but the more suspensions come in,
01:25the more it's clear that the saga is over
01:26or his time there is over.
