00:00The Miralga Balls star and Gilas Pilipinas standout Chris Newsome will have a tight schedule with his upcoming games next month.

00:08Here's the report from Jomaica Bayaka.

00:12The starguard Chris Newsome will face a tight schedule because he has back-to-back competitions this February.

00:19In the first week of the month, the playoffs of the current Season 49, PBA Commissioner's Cup will kick off.

00:26While midway through the PBA playoffs, the 6'2 combo guard will travel to Taiwan as Miralga will meet the new Taipei Kings for the East Asia Super League.

00:37On February 20, Newsome will return to Taiwan as the Gilas Pilipinas campaign will begin against the Chinese Taipei in the Window 3 of the PBA Asia Cup qualifiers.

00:48This will be followed by another road game in New Zealand for their rematch against the Tall Blacks.

00:54So right in the middle of the playoffs, we have the FIBA Asia Window. For me, it's going to be tiring because I have an ESL game and then straight into international game versus Taipei and New Zealand and both away game spots.

01:10So there's going to be a bit of traveling there, a bit of fatigue, but that's part of the job of the month.

01:15Here to serve the country, whatever it takes and whatever they need me, I'm willing to do and I'm just excited to go out there and represent the Philippines.

01:23Gilas will face a greater challenge in the upcoming Window 3 as the big man Kai Soto is recovering from injury.

01:31Despite this, Chris is excited to be on a team with his batchmate Roy Rosario, who will take the position left by Soto.

01:40Yeah, I'm excited to play alongside Troy again. This will be the second time that I got to be teammates with Troy. First time being in PBA D-League, we were happy Fresh Fighters. It was me, Troy and Scotty actually, we were all teammates there.

01:57So it's nice to rejoin my Fresh Fighter brothers and hopefully we're going to have some more success.
