01:06They have beaten the Eagles and almost beaten Eagles in two games where he's done that this year
01:11I just feel like it's a Jalen Hurts scenario for me. Is he healthy enough to really be a

01:22it becomes a question if he has to be a weapon and

01:29Because of that offensive line and because of everything that's taken is done. So

01:39Because they haven't needed him to be a weapon and they still managed to win some of these games even though it was a little floppy
01:46Against the Rams and honestly, I think it was it was very fortunate
01:50by the way for the Eagles that they were snow in that game because if that had been a

01:57The way the Rams like to move the ball up and down the field. I think they could have been in trouble against

02:05So, you know it was for their benefit that it was such a sloppy track and it sort of took away some of the things
02:11That the Rams do really well
02:18Those are hard things to overcome in the postseason
02:21Trey you look at that passing game with Jalen assuming he's gonna be good to go and
02:26But uh, Marsha Marshawn Lattimore was on AJ Brown last time and it did not go well
02:32Do you expect they're gonna change that strategy up you expect them? What do you expect them to do defensively in the past?

02:41This is why you traded for right? This is this is what this is
02:45Why do you go get a guy like that for a massive risk for a game like this?
02:49no, you just hope that AJ doesn't channel their excellence and
02:53It has a quiet game and it is content reading on the sidelines

03:08They don't sell out they have to sell out against the run and make Jalen beat you make him have hot throats

03:31Cowboys games, but if you took away those two long runs by Saquon Barkley in that game against the Rams
03:38They did a pretty decent job up front and they you know, they they backed him up six times
03:44I thought the big bad offensive line of the Eagles in that game did not play like the big bad offensive line
03:51Not that there is from seven really handled them pretty well. They just they gave up the two big plays
03:58How do you think Washington will do against Jalen Carter without starting guard Sam Cosman?

04:06That kind of beast man, you know for all the things that the Eagles
04:10Didn't do well in that game. He came up with that big play the punch-out when they had to have it
04:14So he's he's a real and Cosby is a very underrated player
04:19He is so good and it's been so good for you guys

04:26Because the size of the Eagles defensive tackles is just not normal
04:30They are big big people and and you know
04:34They've made their living this season by by dominating
04:38Scrimmage, which I didn't think they did in the game against the against the Rams
04:42But with Cosby out that that becomes a much bigger issue and much more pressure point for Washington
04:49When you look at both of these teams, they've had a 6-0 turnover margin in their first two games in the playoffs
04:54You know, it seems like Washington's been up to the task. They have not blinked you seen Philly obviously up to the task
05:00They haven't blinked
05:00Do you think one of these teams just doesn't you know has some of those mistakes this game and that's the differentiator
05:06Or do you think this is gonna be a clean ball game and the better team wins?
05:09Well, it's really weird right because this is the first time on
05:13Championship Sunday ever that all four teams playing have not committed a playoff turnover, which it's just so unusual
05:21None for the Rams. I mean, it's not for the Eagles not for the commanders none for the Chiefs and none for Buffalo
05:28You got you got clean games to get you here, um, you know
05:31Obviously, there's gonna be a lot of pressure on Jaden and you go back and look at the game
05:36late in the season, you know
05:39Let's just be honest fans were a little fortunate. They're about a Smith drop the path
05:44that's your bed in the game and then then the commanders had a second opportunity and they took advantage of it, but
05:49You can't
05:51This has to be not only not only can it be a
05:54Turnover free game for Washington. It has to be a mistake free game. And those are two different things, right?
06:00Obviously turnovers can be mistakes. You can't miss open receivers, you know, like in the game
06:05And you know Jaden's made almost everything miss the layup
06:09Zach hurts on the goal. If he's open like that, you can't miss him. So
06:14What's been really interesting about watching Jaden go through this rookie season is that I think he has not really sort of
06:21Any scar tissue in there? You know what? I mean? He all he knows is success
06:25I thought of that three game losing streak and and the way they sort of close the season from week 15 on with those last
06:31Second wins, but there's a lot of things
06:33It'll just work out and sometimes what you don't know is as important as what you do know
06:38And I think right now Jaden and offense are playing playing very freely because they don't have
06:45Disappointment, they don't have the stars that have been there for the fans all these years
06:49Trying to see this franchise one of the keystone franchises in the NFL by the way get back into the lineup and I think that
06:56That more than anything. I think can really help the commanders in this game because all Jaden knows is success
07:03He doesn't know disappointment. And why would you worry about it if you don't ever have a deal?

07:24Do you think they fix something in their running game with their backs?

07:31Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it was the water. I mean
07:37The at one point the line set 16 defensive players on injured reserve 16 if you just do the math
07:43That's 11 starters and five back on one side of the ball
07:46No, they got out him the money back and that certainly helped
07:49But you know since the start of the 2023 season guys the Lions have averaged 30 point two points per game
07:56Which was best in the NFL in that playoff game against commanders
07:59They scored 31 which was just above their average, but they gave up 45 and obviously some of that was the pick six
08:06at the end of the half the chair got through
08:09But that tells you that they were a defensive liability and
08:13Look the commanders did what you should do against a bad defense take advantage of those situations and put up points
08:19Which is exactly what they did, but I'm not going to sit here and say they've got it all figured out
08:24especially when you're going up against the run defense that the Philadelphia Eagles present, which is a
08:29significantly bigger challenge
08:31Trey we've seen Jaden look totally different the two matchups that they played Philadelphia the first matchup was arguably his worst matchup of the year
08:38And then the second time he looked incredible in that second half a big difference was obviously health for Jaden
08:44But they blitzed a lot more in that second matchup. What do you expect the Eagles to do defensively?
08:49You know learning from those two matchups
08:52Well, listen, you know, I think they want to try and rattle them early
08:55I mean, that's what I would try to do and you know
08:58I don't know if he's
08:59Rattleable at this point the way he's gone about it and just to just to put in perspective
09:04How different this run is with Jaden Daniels as a rookie quarterback as opposed to the other five
09:09rookie quarterbacks that have made it to a conference championship game
09:13The scoring defense for the Washington Commanders is 18th in the NFL, which is really just a tick below average
09:19Okay, every other rookie quarterback that has made it to starting a championship Sunday
09:25Their scoring defense has been either first or third. That's it

09:33Brock Purdy all these guys that made it to championship Sunday as rookie quarterbacks
09:37I'll have this unbelievable defense that really carried them and then the quarterback was just sort of availed
09:44This exact opposite with Jaden Daniels
09:46He's the reason they're there and I think that gives you a little bit more hope as well
09:52He's going to make the right decision and the correct decision and do it quickly against the season
09:59All right, Trey. So who do you think wins not only Washington Philly, but the AFC championship game?
10:04What's your Super Bowl matchup look like? Well, let me be clear. I
10:08Love DC. I my son with the Georgetown. Yeah, I I am all in on DC. I
10:15Need hard to go get the Eagles at home
10:17I'll give you another another number that concerns me
10:20The Eagles have the number one scoring and total defense through the playoffs and through the regular season and they're at home in the last
10:2720 years when that situation has been presented on championship Sunday
10:30Those teams are 4 and 0 and they're 7 and 2 all times in that situation in the Super Bowl era
10:36It is really hard to go on the road in the postseason and beat a team at home
10:42With those kind of defensive numbers. Is it possible? Yes, so I am leaning towards Philadelphia and in the other matchup
10:50I would just say I'll be I'll be out on the streets when they're dead and buried
10:56Until they're getting buried I am riding them
11:00You would not believe and look
11:02They never were the best team last year until they won every playoff game and decided it was their time to do it
11:07And I just think their entire season has been just can we get to this point?
11:11I feel like the entire regular season has been them just playing with their food and all they wanted to do is get
11:17Get to this point to do what no one's ever done forget winning three Super Bowl
11:21No one has ever even made it back to a third straight Super Bowl with the opportunity to win a third
11:27And I think they're on the verge of history and I think history is with Kansas City real quick trade
11:33It just seems like a different Buffalo team though a team that can actually run the football
11:37It's not all on Josh Allen
11:38Is that something where if they run the football effectively kind of limit some of the possessions in this game?
11:42You could see it going their way or is it? Yeah

11:53Tell you two things that concern me number one the injury nobody's talking about and they really should safety Taylor rap is out
11:59Which means you've got a rookie safety back there and the AFC champs your game. Trust me
12:04I think Andy was gonna find ways to exploit that and the other thing that no one is talking about
12:10In this situation with Buffalo is that Sean McDermott as good as he's been
12:15I've had some real brain farts in the postseason. Okay, 13 seconds left a couple years ago in the division
12:23Why did you why did you kick it in the back of the end zone last year in the divisional round against the Chiefs at home?
12:29Buffalo he went for a fake punch guys inside his own 35-yard line in the fourth quarter and
12:36Meekwil Harman doesn't fumble that ball at the goal line. The Chiefs probably went by double digits
12:40So I'm a much bigger believer in Andy Reid in these moments
